I think this is my first 5 star review ever:)
I mean, when everything is absolutely perfect: all the staff was super lovely, professional and extremely kind.
The rooms are comfortable, feels brand new - however its a 5year hotel, you wouldn't say.
The breakfast was astonishing: we had the freshly made tuna-bruschetta of our life! Kudos to the Chef Lady, Éva for her attention, approach and healthy meal.

Highly recommended if you look forward to have a great experience!

This pains me to write a review like this because the hotel itself and the rest of the staff were quite charming and lovely and if not for one spectacularly, rude, horrible and racist front desk clerk, this could have been a lovely stay otherwise. But my first impression was so egregious and with such thinly veiled racism that I couldn't let this pass. I would never write a bad review if the front desk was just unfriendly but to be greeted with hostility was a bit shocking. She couldn't find my reservation in spite of the fact that i showed her my resevration confirmation and made me feel that I must have made a mistake somehow. I tried not to let it bother me too much but then she casually tossed a sheet with another person's name and said that must be my reservation. This is when I sensed the racist undertone--I have an Asian last name and the other person also had an Asian name but that it wasn't my reservation and our names were completely different. I guess some people think that all Asian names are alike too--quite a jarring and unsettling experience. The hostolity didn't end there but my reservation was eventually found--no apologies of course for making me feel like an interloper trying to sneak into her hotel. Also, I booked a suite for 2 people and she gave my friend a pointed look and said I only booked for one as if I was trying to sneak her in--just an upleasant person! I will return to Pecs in the future but will pass on this hotel the next time around.

This was truly a great experience. It started off with a great breakfast the chef was making incredible things (a bacon basket wtih fried eggs and spinach, chocolate crepes with whipped creme. It was amazing. The room was great, we had a bed room separated from another room for TV/Reading etc.
I could not say more about the staff. My wife left her purse (wallet, iPhone, pretty much everything) in a car that had taken us back from a restaurant. The car belong to one of the restaurant staff, however the restaurant was closed the next day and we were scheduled to leave. The hotel staff got the owner/manager of the hotel involved and they literally tracked down, friend of a friend of friend until they found them the next morning. The purse arrived safe and sound. Everyone was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Pecs.
