Expensive for what it offers

The hotel is in a residential area (unusual for a hotel). It has a few parking spaces in front and a small parking lot in the inner courtyard. The rooms are large and spacious. The bathroom is okay and clean. The carpet in the room is quite worn. The rooms on the upper floor have a balcony, while the ground floor rooms have access to an inner courtyard (perfect for smokers). The pool is quite small, and the rubber lining was wrinkled.
A few major downsides: it was very difficult to communicate in English at the reception! The second downside is breakfast: plenty of fruit, but the rest of the dishes were limited in variety: only omelette, sausages, and wieners, a few types of cheese, and yogurt. For a 4-star location, this is too little. We arrived for breakfast on the first day at 9:10, and the food was almost gone, with no replenishments despite breakfast being served until 10:30 on weekends. What bothered me the most was the attitude of the lady who seemed to be the manager; she refused to serve a couple who arrived for breakfast at 10:15. She closed the door and drew the curtain. For dinner, the menu options were limited and expensive. We ordered a dish, they came back and proposed something else, then returned and proposed yet another option. As a result, we ate in the city for the rest of our stay.

Room Tip: Calling it a spa is an exaggeration. The pool is small, the rubber lining is wrinkled, and there...

The room (an appartmant) ws large enough. But the bed is uncomfotable, safe and hair dryer did not work. Breakfest was ok, a normal continental. But the dinner is overpriced, especially if a half-pension. Do not buy that!
The lokation was fair for my purpose.
The hotel operates two reception desk, and I had to go always to the other one....

Good for sports, has tennis and squash. The wellness part is very weak. Out of 5 souna two were working, the jakuzzi is very small, one pool for swimming not for play. Breakfast is in three stars level at most. The rooms are wide and clean

Nothing really seems friendly here. The breakfast is soulless, staff didn’t seem happy working here. Rooms jaded and slightly scruffy large in size difficult to control temperature of. Wi-fi seems ok. Layout is odd. Good for sports pool looked nice. Long way from town centre. I’ll try somewhere else next time

The hotel is an excellent business and wellness hotel. The room was huge and tidy, there were a shower and also a bathtub, toilet was separated. Thers is a small balcony with a sight to the city center of Pécs. Wellness area is awesome.
The room was extremely hot and it was not possible to decrease the temperature, also not with the help of staff. There was no wifi connection at all in the evening, noone knew why. Wellness was too crowded, there were too many people inside. Breaskfast was poor, it was almost like continental type. Dinner was nice but I waited 1 and a half hour for the food and it was incredible expensive.

Room tip: Business rooms are the best ever.

We stayed in the 4-star section of the hotel with my friend, so this review is about that part.
First of all, the room we had was huge, and it also had a balcony, which must be great during the summer.
All the receptionists and the staff in the restaurant during breakfast were very kind and helpful.
However, as for the cleaning staff, I couldn't say that they were on top of their jobs. Our room wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen, and we had to separately ask either the cleaning staff or the receptionist to provide more shower gel and toilet paper - apparently, the cleaning staff didn't notice when things were running out from our room. Yes, it's a minor thing, but honestly, I don't really feel like dealing with details of housekeeping when I'm on vacation - I can deal with housekeeping at home.

As for food, we only had our breakfasts in the hotel. The food was good, although my friend - who follows a special diet - would have preferred if the items on the breakfast buffet were labelled (if not with allergen info then at least with names). Also, when things were running out from the breakfast buffet, they weren't always replaced, or at least not in a timely manner.

I can't really write about the wellness section of the hotel - every time we peeked down into the pool area, there was a baby swimming session going on, so we didn't feel like going down into the middle of that. (I'm not even sure if that would have been allowed. We noticed a timetable at the reception, advertising the hours of baby swimming, but I don't know if the pool area was accessible for "regular" users during those time. Anyway, I didn't ask. And in the end, I was fine without doing the wellness bits.)

All in all, it's an average hotel with a much better than average staff (except for cleaning), it's nice for a few days but I wouldn't go out of my way to deliberately come back.
