Just around the corner from the train station, so very handy for us catching the early morning train. Also walkable to the town centre, so no hassle at all. Staff (only one young lady actually) was very friendly and attentive.
While we did not expect anything fancy, and the hotel was very clean and well kept, we felt that a few modest improvements to the bathroom would make it a better experience. For instance, there was no shower curtain and no shower head holder, so using the shower in the bath was a bit of a problem - water splashing everywhere and you don't really fancy sitting in the bathtub actually (although cleaned well, it looks well used and just a tiny bit grubby). Also, small things like the toilet roll holder did not have a 'spine' to hold down the roll so if you forget and tug at the end, the roll flies off the porcelain 'dish' it sits on. A basic, budget hotel, it was perfectly fine and the staff were very friendly.
