Regency Suite is a great hotel with great service and very friendly personnel. The rooms are big and comfortable. Location is just perfect, walking distance from all the important places in budapest.

We stayed at The Regency Suites from 29/1 to 2/2 2012.As arranged,we were met at the airport by our taxi driver who despite not speaking any english managed to be both entertaining and good company on the journey to the hotel. The suite itself was immmaculately clean and this standard continued throughout our stay. The suite itself was facing out onto the car park but despite the fact that there is a theatre opposite,we suffered no noise disturbance. The lounge consisted of a two seater couch and one armchair, coffee table and small area with a sink, fridge, kettle and microwave(Tip 1; take plastic disposable plates and cutlery with you as nothing is provided apart from two mugs, one teaspoon and a small courtesy bowl with coffee, sugar, tea and milk). There was a small tv in both the lounge and the seperate bedroom which gave us BBC world,Aljazeera and CNN.The staff were friendly and helpful when asked for information. It is only a short walk to the main shopping area of Pest and it's worth taking the time to stroll through this area and on to the river to admire the sheer size of the place(Tip 2; buy a ticket for the coach tour of the city from any of the guides wearing orange uniforms as this is a great way to spend 3 hours seeing both Buda and Pest and learning some of its history via headphones translating into 22 languages).Eating out was cheap as the currency is the forint(Tip 3; walk around on your first day comparing exchange rates in the many money shops as we got 349 forints to £1 whereas at home the exchange rate was no better than 307)
This is very clean city and we found the local people to be friendly despite language barriers and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking a cultural visit. If you are of the younger generation and enjoy nightclubbing then I suggest that you travel to stay friday and saturday nights as this place has a bouncing club scene at the weekends in its numerous clubs and bars that all seem to be located underground or in abandoned buildings.

Well travelled older couple but our first visit to Budapest; not too impressed by web site so booked one night to test it and especially beds. Wellcomed warmly and impressed with spaciousness and cleanliness of bedroom, living area and two roomed bathroom. Beds are excellent and suite very quiet. Minus 5/20 outside but nice and warm inside. Wide choice at inclusive breakfast and free wifi too. Anika and Anita at reception are charming and helpful as was other lady. Adjacent cafe across side street has good vibe and music. Plenty of restaurant choice nearby too. Location is 100m from trams and Deak 3 metro terminal so easy access to wherever you need to go. Getting to/from airport is also easy and cheap. 200 bus from T1 to Blue Metro terminal then straight to Deak. Then 100 metre walk. About 40 minutes. At 59 Euro per night Regency was superb value!

Room Tip: Our room on 4th floor was at back of hotel. Extremely quiet.
