Absolutely beautiful hotel, words cannot express just how lovely it is. We enjoyed having breakfast in the New York Cafe and the setting there was gorgeous. Our room was large and extremely comfortable, with a beautfiul bathroom, and the foyer is the best foyer I have ever seen! The relaxation pool was lovely. I would give 6 stars if I could!

After a long journey it was such a pleasure to arrive in such a beautiful lobby and to be greeted by lovely staff with piano music flowing through the lobby. Delicious meals, accommodating staff & stunning surroundings. It made my visit to Budapest truly memorable.

As frequent guest of Marriott properties we tried NY Palace which an Autograph property. Room was spacious but furnishings tired and mattress quite uncomfortable, being saggy and springs very prevalent. Little things were missing such as hair dryer and mirror over the desk for woman to dry hair and do make up. One day no face towels provided, another day no hand cream but excessive shower gel containers. Service adequate, reception check in and concierge good. Restaurant the NY Cafe impressive in architecture but menu items not great seems to a glorified pastry/cafe so never ate there though we tried. Just to busy with tourists and menu not appealing. Close to Line 2 subway stop that can get you to core of Pest. Also stop for hop on hop off buses at front of hotel.

The hotel’s reception, lobby and other common areas are absolutely stunning. The Cafe in particular is a must see- with live string quartets or pianists coming and going it truly is a spectacular environment. The rooms are also quite spacious and bright. They are nicely done but not sure they reach a 5-star level. They feel a bit tired and need a facelift.
Service could definitely be better. We constantly had to ask for our toiletries to be refreshed and it was overall slow, I.e. be ready to wait 25 min for a bucket of ice.
Room service Food is nice but nothing to write home about. Not that people were not extremely friendly and tried to be as accommodating as possible to all our requests.
The spa is a super nice treat and it’s quite private and cosy.
Location is ok but not very close to the river or the nice shopping areas. Although the walk through the Jewish quarter is quite enjoyable and has lots of very nice bars and restaurants.
The hotel is clearly stunning but could do with some improved operations to truly make it feel 5-star. For the price per night, I’d expect something higher level in terms of service.

We spent several days in Budapest, and stayed at the New York Palace. The hotel is beautiful and the café every bit as opulent as we read. Our room was big, clean and very nice. The breakfast was very good with a tremendous selection of food that also included live musician playing either a piano or flute. Most important the staff was outstanding. We booked a tour through a booking company in Germany the week before we traveled, we were billed for the tour but did not get the tour confirmation. The hotel concierge (named Lorant) checked directly with the tour operator in Budapest and learned we were never booked for the tour because the parliament tours was sold out before we booked with the third party. This concierge got on the phone with the booking agent in Germany and was able to get them to refund our payment. The concierge then got us booked on the remaining part of the tour we wanted for $75 less than we paid online. I can go on and on about the superior service, The staff at this hotel is outstanding, better than I have seen at $600a night hotels.

Room Tip: Our room was great but don;t know any tips
