We had a fantastic weekend starting with Janos ready and waiting for us at the airport, a welcome sight! Apartment has everything you could possibly need although with wonderful restaurants nearby there certainly is no need to cook. After a long day walking this beautiful city a lovely hot bath was so welcome. As for location you could not do better, Xmas markets around the corner, river literally a five minute stroll a great base. Do not hesitate to book this apartment a home from home cheers!!

Got home a couple of days ago after a very enjoyable 4-day stay at this apartment in Budapest. It is wonderfully located, in a very atmospheric 19th century building, close to St Stephen's Basilica, and if you like to walk as I do, there is no need to take public transport. All the main sights and plenty of decent restaurants, cafes and bars are within easy reach on foot. There are several little convenience stores nearby too if you want to take food and drink back to the apartment. (The kitchen is very well equipped.) The English owner and his local representative, Janos, were very pleasant and always helpful especially when we had a small problem that they resolved very quickly. It's always very good to know that owners take their responsibilities to their tenants seriously! I hope to be back one day, and would certainly recommend to friends and family. The only other point others may be interested in is that while the main bedroom faces onto the inner courtyard and is very quiet, the second bedroom faces onto the street and there was a bit more noise, but nothing significant and not late at night.

We've just returned from Budapest where we spent 11 nights in Alastair's beautiful apartment. Alastair was extremely helpful and a great guy to deal with. The apt has everything possible that a person needs and is a real home from home. It's location is amazing. District V is a beautiful part of Budapest with excellent restaurants and majestic buildings. Three restaurants we highly recommend are Tom George, Pommo d'oro and Misto Bistro (a couple of doors down). Excellent food, service and value at all 3. There's so much to see and do in Budapest and the people are lovely. We plan on returning to Alistair's apt next year and can highly recommend it! Go and see for yourselves and you will certainly agree!
