This is our second time to stay in the Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge. We booked a Club Room again this time, based on our previous experience. The rooms are a good size with fantastic views of the Chain Bridge. Access to the Executive Lounge is included in the price. The lounge offers a light breakfast and snacks during the day and has free internet access. Situated on the 8th floor, it has excellent views. Alexandra, who checked us in and looked after us during our stay was very pleasant and efficient at all times. She recommended restuarants and offered to reserve tables for us, when required. The hotel is very central, close to the Metro and the number 16 bus, which will bring you to the castle on the Buda side.
The concierge will book Opera/ Theatre tickets for you but be aware that a 30% handling charge applies.

The staff makes this hotel - friendly, knowledgable, helpful...

With a wonderful location next to the Chain bridge - a room with a view is worth paying extra for, as is the priviledge of the Executive floor with the dining, snack and relax room with large picture windows to the river and bridge. makes for a quieter start to the day then the buffet breakfast downstairs.

Budapest is a walking city with the pedestrian center directly behind the hotel and most sites really within walking distance. The easy tram system also stops right in front of the hotel for those other inclined too.

The bar and restaurant in the hotel are also very good quality although there are lots of restaurants to try in the immediate area. head to Gerbeaud for a sweet snack for history and calories !!

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all amenties you would expect of a 5 start Sofitel. The website is accurate.

Would definately recommend this hotel and stay again

Room Tip: pay a little extra for river view and the executive floor

The hotel is located in the city center of Pesta. Right behind the hotel you find the city center pedestrian street, full of nice shops and very good restaurants (I am recommending Gerbeaud and 100 years). There are a lot of sightseeing within walking distance (e.g. Chain and Elisabeth bridges, the Parliament house, the Royal Palace, Danube river, St Stephen Basilica, etc.).
I recommend you to take a city tour. It takes approx. 2 hours by bus and you may stop and start as many times you want over two days period (a Danube river cruise is also included into the ticket).
The rooms are nice, spacious enough and clean, the staff is very polite and always available to help you and the hotel services are really 5* services.

Just a completely enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived at the door. the doorman greeted us and brought us thru the lobby to be greeted at the front desk. Check in was all to smooth and the receptionist afterwards introduced us to the concierge. Our luggage was taken up to our room while we were received by the concierge who answered all or questions and suggested a number of must do's, all the while making any necessary arrangements. Our dinner that evening in the hotel was nothing short of first class. Our servers were attentive but never too in our face. Once they found us enjoying the relaxing atmosphere they too relaxed and we all enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were perfect and the views we requested were spectacular.

Room Tip: Please request a river view with the palace and chain bridge. The sights are spectacular especially while enjoying breakfast with the river coming to life each morning.
