There is nothing fancy about this place, but it is extremely comfortable and in a great location. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful and the breakfast is hearty, and includes freshly cooked eggs by the staff. The neighborhood is quiet, just steps from the Castle and is an easy walk to Pest and close to many bus and tram lines. I would definitely stay here again.

Rooms are clean and appropriately furnished and decorated along with a small refrigerator. I liked the location because it was tucked in a quaint area of classic European buildings/homes very close to the river and just a half block away you are walking along the river and this wide plaza with restaurants etc. Plus the trolley is very close by. Staff generally very helpful and speak English though one staff person could sometimes be brusque/short when asked for assistance. Overall a good choice for the price. PS- I LOVE BUDAPEST !

We had an fantastic week at the hotel. The service is good an it's few steps to the Buda Castle, Citadella, restaurants and over the Elithabeth_bridge to the Center of Budapest with Pest and shopping.

You ask me to choose between a 5 star hotel and this place. Where to stay? I´ll definitely stay here. Why? Rooms are OK, good bed, everything you need. But the thing is that staff will make you feel like family. The lady who prepare your breakfast is so committed to her work that you´ll feel more than a simple guest.
The location is perfect, because you are in the quiet part of Buda, close to good restaurantes but far away from noise. Skip the tourists traps, go to the Orion Varkert!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The location is great...on the Buda side, you are close to Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. Or, you can take a short walk across the Chain Bridge or the Elizabeth Bridge to the Pest side and enjoy lots of shopping, restaurants, bars, Danube cruises, Parliament, and the Budapest Eye.

As far as the hotel goes, I can’t say enough good things! The rooms are small, but very clean with all of the amenities you will need. Breakfast is adequate, with a good variety...you can also have eggs made to order.

The highlight of our stay here was the staff. They are some of the nicest people we encountered on our trip to Europe. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. During our stay, we had a tour that we booked on a national holiday and the roads were closed, so it was difficult to get to our meeting place. The hotel manager called the tour company, explained the situation, and the tour guide waited for us. Then, he called a taxi for us and explained the same to the driver and between the 2 of them we made it for the tour. We also needed transportation very early in the morning for our flight, and the front desk said they would arrange everything for us. When we went downstairs at 4AM, we were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel manager was taking us to the airport himself...for a flat fee...no messing around with taxis and meters.

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and if we ever return to Budapest, we will definitely stay here again!!!
