I originaly like this place, but why do they put out so many tables that the kitchen cannot serve?
We waited more than an hour for salads and a burger... With a kid who was starving. We never got our food, we had to leave.
We got some french fries. Unacceptable. Not recommended.
This was on a Tuesday.

The Majorka is located in the Varosmajor park on the Buda side of the city, just 3 trolley stops or a pleasant 10 minute walk from the Szelll Kalman ter metro stop (metro 2 red line). In the spring and summer there is lots of outdoor seating. underneath large trees. Burgers are big and well crafted. They also have chicken wings and great daily specials. Well worth a visit

For a non-fancy evening, or lunch you may enjoy to dine in this place.
Also good for a beer of a cocktail.
Sitting outside might be a bit noisy - but who cares after the beer Nr.3?

We stumbled across this super eatery when we accidentally travelled one tram stop too far when connecting to the cog railway. Lovely food, wide choice, friendly staff and clean facilities. Great find.

This place has been here for a while and has a popular vibe attached to it. In the summer with the open air feel, it's even worth the extra 200huf on the beer, but in the winter it has to win foodwise if it's going to mean anything. Does it? Well, like a lot of restaurants in Hungary, steak is pointless. Chewy and cheap of quality, it really isn't worth buying, even if the flavor delivers. Prime Beef isn't the strongest point in Hungarian cuisine. Burger it, however, and it does hold it's own, and going for recognition up against the growing streetfood trade, it is commendable. Even if it doesn't ply it's trade solely to the new holy grail, Majorka has a pretty decent burger. And a midday menu that does play softer to the wallet.
The staff seem to know what they're doing and the food is generally beyond edible. So what is my quib? Well, if it's just a beer you're after, and the sun is in hiding, there are other places nearby better suited. Come summer, however, and being people-watching inclined this side of Buda, there's probably nothing better.
