The city was not crowded, and it was not tired to walk around visiting the different monuments... but, the park provides peace and nature. It was a really nice place for walk and be seated for a while enjoying the nice weather we had.

Walked up by choice from the Ibis hotel which is near to the river. All in approx. 30 minutes walking at a slow pace. Nextbike have numerous bike stations in the town several of them are near to the park and we saw a lot of people using these bikes on our way to and back from the park. Lots to see and lots to do within the park. Commonwealth Grave site next to Russian and Polish war graves. The park is huge and immaculately kept. Would agree with a previous post that the signposting within could do with a revamp. Visitor maps located at several points which showed you where you were located and pictures of the various sites you could visit within the park - however although pictures showed the various sites they did not pin them down to a specific place in the park. e.g picture of monument with number corresponding to number on the board. Lots on numbers and heading in polish which may have provided addition information. Despite that we wandered around the park and saw some magnificent sites - our fear was that we may have missed some . A wonderful park which the citizens of Poznan should be very proud of.

Spent the morning here on my first day in Poznan. A huge tranquil park, where I only saw about a dozen other people. In summary, there's a great military museum, fort remnants, an amphitheatre, WWII cemeteries and amazing sculptures. Worth taking time out for!

Once upon a time it was one of the largest artillery fort in Europe, now it's a place of rest and recreation with with a perceptible stigma of the past. You'll find there huge park with playgrounds, you can stroll, jog or ride on bike or roller if you like. You'll find there nice restaurant Umberto (italian & polish cuisine) as well. Nice place for families and active people. Everyone can find there something interesting. You can also visit museumus fe. museum of weapons. Cytadela is a place where monumental fortifications, museums, monuments and cemeteries remininds of the turbulent past. Paradoxically, these place is full of life and atmosphere here conductive to relaxation. It's a place worth to visit in Poznań.

The park is beautiful with massive lawns and gardens, and a multitude of things to see such as monuments, sculptures and museums. However it is really badly signposted for those who do not speak Polish. There are several large signs indicating what is in the park but no indication as to where or how to get to them. I found a few I did not even know where there by sheer accident. I spent longer here than planned because it is such a nice peaceful place. The headless statues and the museum with the tanks outside are well worth searching out, as is the soviet reslist style statue of a soldier. Highly recommended
