“Good for station and town centre”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2012

We stayed in the Jordan Guest Rooms in early May and were really pleased with the accommodation. It is extremely central, just a 10 minute walk from the Glowny (main) railway station, and a 10 minute stroll into the main Market Square. The rooms are basic but very clean and adequate, after all you'll not be spending much time in the room! Breakfast was a delight - down in the basement "Bibliotera". Wonderfully relaxed atmosphere and great choice of food (the only thing that slightly let it down was the fruit juice). The food is served up buffet style and consists of cereal, toast and a wonderful array of Polish cheeses, meats, fish and sausages. Would certainly recommend and stay there again. Oh - and the price was great as well!

Booked 4 days at Jordan, its veru close to guest rooms. the main reason for the location of this guest house.its very close to main sights.once you manage to find your way out of the main train station.(took me 20 mins)then its straight to main road road ,turn right and you are there. its about 13 mins from the train.bus station. the main square is about 10 mins.the castle is about 20 mins walk.the staff was very friendly. very helpful. the room was spacious and clean.the breakfast was served in the basement restaurant. it was very nice and clean., breakfast was good. also this guest house is very close to the matejko square. here all the main tours pick up/drop off points. i would stay there again

Very impressed with the cleanliness and bathrooms in this B&B. Breakfast is served in an attractive imaginatvely decorated basement. Bedroom was basic but we could regulate the temperature.
But be aware that the staircases are poorly lit and can stairs can be deceptive. The company incorporates a travel business which makes booking trips very simple. The difference in noise levels between front and rear facing rooms was commented on by our party. Some complained that the beds were uncomfy. For a 2 star we found ours acceptable

Room Tip: Ask for a rear bedroom

Inexpensive rooms are hard to come by in Krakow, but this place is overpriced for what you get. Noise is practically intolerable. Rooms are bare-bones, dank, dark. Beds are poorly stocked with linens that do not fit, and the mattresses are meager. Service is mopey and completely unsatisfactory: they were unable to solve a very simple problem of a reading lamp that was broken; even after 24 hours their only response was that this was "not normal"so somehow they were not responsible for it.
Find a better value in Krakow, I'm sure they exist.

I had visited Krakow and used hotels but looking at the difference in price for B&B I thought I'd try the Jordan.
It's in a great location around 5 min. walk from the main square and all it's restaurants, bars & beautiful buildings. Road work outside is now done & trams are running. Trams are a great way of getting around. Buy tickets at the newspaper kiosks, 2.8 Zlotys for 30 minutes. You get the ticket time-punched in yellow boxes on the tram.
My room faced the street and the double glazing dulled the traffic noise well enough for me, a city boy. No doubt rooms vary in size & layout. This is a grand old building converted. Ceilings are high. My room was a double & had a desk, TV (Polish, strangely enough), internet connection, a safe built into the wall and more space than my cupboard of a room in the RT Monopol last year. Plenty of space in the shower room.
Breakfast suited me. A buffet of sliced cheeses, meats, boiled eggs, fish, pickles etc. Mostly cold. Plenty of coffee, tea & fruit juice.
One moan - There was no stopper in the sink. I reported this to reception but nothing happened. I was able to live with this.
Overall I was very happy with my stay at the Jordan rooms & I hope my wife & I will stay there next year
