“Excellent location”
Reviewed 16 August 2012

Located on the main square close to all attractions, train station, pubs and restaurants. Stayed for two nights in an 8 person dorm located at the back of the hostel. (ie not facing the main square and therefore no problems with noise at night).

Clean dorms and bathrooms
Private bathrooms
Decent free breakfast of eggs, bread, jam, cheese, tea and coffee
Wifi throughout and free pc terminals
Quiet hostel with calm and relaxing atmosphere
Secure lockers

I stayed here with a couple of friends during our interrail. I have to say this was one of the hostels that pleased me the most. For what you pay, you get a center location (better is impossible), free breakfast, nightlife action nearby and a great common room where you can meet people. I'd stay here again!

Room Tip: You can either ask for the rooms on the first floors, and you climb less stairs, or go all the way u...

We had booked a couple of stays at this hostel over a fortnight, both for a private twin room. The first time we stayed we were given a room on the 4th floor overlooking the town square which is lovely at first until you realise the noise, including church bells and hourly bugle, go on all night! It was extremely hot so we had to keep the window open, but even then intolerably hot, even when it wasn't so hot outside (I felt they could have had some fans available, it would have really improved things for us). The facilities in the hostel itself were good - good showers, toast or cereal for breakfast, good Internet access and wifi. The second time we stayed we requested a room at the back which was slightly better in terms of noise, but unfortunately at the back there is another hostel with a big balcony where people are partying loudly all night so...all in all I'd say, good hostel if you can sleep through quite a bit of external noise, if not, I'd go somewhere on one of the old town side streets instead.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if you want something a bit quieter

Location could not be better, right on the main market square. Short walking distance from all restaurants, bars and clubs. Our 10 person dorm was on the topfloor with just one tiny window. It was warmer inside than outside. Matrasses and bunk beds should be of better quality. Together with the heat at night, sleep quality was terrible for me but that was not a big deal since Krakow is a city to go clubbing every night!! If you do care, go for a 12 dorm (they were really spacious) or ask for room with larger windows. Breakfast basic but included. Toilets and showers were clean. Great free wifi. Overall very good atmosphere, great place to meet many travellers and excellent service from staff. Also great price (aprox. 12 euros) considering you are ON the market! Would definitely go again but then in a different room!

Couldn't fault it, we stayed in a private twin room on the 3rd floor, clean, fresh and great facilities, we especially liked the private shower rooms with toilet, sink, shower & mirror. The key locks for the door make you feel more secure & the gate to the hostel is monitored by the reception staff! The location is just the best, right on the square! Great atmosphere, restaurants & even entertainment on the square by performers! WiFi & computers for free and great common room & breakfast! Friends of ours stayed in the surrounding area & all said they would rather have stayed in the cracow hostel!
