Wonderful short break in Krakow. Hotel was excellent and so convenient being located just across the square from the Train Station. Easy to get to main square via underpass although heavy snow while we we there did make the walk a bit more tricky.
Room modern, comfortable and spottless, bathroom had the WOW factor. Breakfast - excellent choice and set us up for well for the days sightseeing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and hope to visit again in the future

I wrote a review of Andels a year ago, and have stayed twice since then, so I decided it was time to update my comments.

Agnieszka (the manager) had responded to my earlier review assuring me that the few small concerns I expressed would be addressed. They have been. Breakfast was great (and the coffee very acceptable) and the internet service is much improved. There was some sort of server problem one night, but in general the service was both free and reliable.

Meanwhile, the hotel is still where it has always been (very convenient!!) and the staff are still very friendly. Both recent stays had me overlooking the square toward the railway station, which really is a nice view ... especially this time of year when the sun rises early.

The room is large and well-furnished and the bathroom is spacious. Everything was spotless. I will probably continue to visit Krakow periodically, and this will continue to be my first choice for each stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the railway station to the east.

One step to the Old City, this location is really perfect.
Rooms were small but the bathroom was very modern and functional, with a bath-tub separate from the shower. When light was turned on in the bathroom, the bedroom was illuminated through an opaque window, which might be inconvenient when your partner would like to sleep in the dark! Complimentary mineral water bottles were provided, a nice touch to feel you welcome.

Room Tip: All rooms seem similar and comfortable

This was my third stay at Andel's Krakow. This is a well kept, modern, business class hotel located just a short 5 minute walk from the central square. Being next to the train station is helpful for guests arriving at the airport. The Galleria market is next door if you need a break from the traditional tourism or want to find a place to hang out on a rainy day.

The rooms at Andel's are small by American standards, but typical of European hotels. They ware clean and have all the amenities one requires (hair dryer, coffee pot, mini-bar and wi-fi). Good selection of TV channels, even a few in English. Storage is limited to one closet, but there is no dresser drawers to store non-hanging items.

If your room faces the train station and you a light sleeper, you will likely not be able to leave your window open over night as people crossing the square get pretty rowdy when the bars close.

The staff is attentive to questions and problems.

The only downside is the the restaurant stinks. The lunch and dinner menu is limited. Food quality is average. Food is very slow to be served. I at one lunch in the dining room and the staff was rarely seen. The wait staff was more attentive at a dinner.

The morning buffet is fair. Scrambled eggs were runny and undercooked. Melons were not ripe when they were carved, resulting is hard, flavorless fruit. I think there is an omelette station, but only one morning did I see a chef working it. The Buffet lacked smoked salmon, a staple on all good European breakfast buffets.

So, all in all, good choice for your hotel, but you have many better choices for your meals.
