“More than just a pile of dirt”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 March 2012

Getting to the mound involves a moderate walk from the tram stop but it is worth it. The view from the mound is great. I was surprised by the wax figure exhibition. It is actually more than that, it has lots of history and details of the forts and defense units around Krakow. The mound is linked to the city park so there are lots of trails around it. It is a nice way to get away from the city.

“would have been a nice view on a clear day”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 January 2012

the mound is quite out of the way, but worth a visit on a nice day as i imagine the views would be great. we went in the afternoon and it was rainy and cloudy - so not a great experience. there was also construction work going on, so it was all a bit confusing where the entrance was as it seemed like you were just walking on a large construction site. the climb up to the mound is not difficult and it is an interesting structure - no handrails, so be extra careful! after getting down from the mound, we were trying to look for toilets and were not given good directions - ended up having to go to the office of one of the companies (i think it was a radio station) there who kindly allowed us to use their facilities!! the buses from tram station in salwator is not very frequent - it's either every hour or half hour. but you can always walk one way (perhaps when leaving as it would be downhill) and use the bus in the other direction.

“Great view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2012

The walk up to the kopiec will give you a nice 360degrees views from Krakow.

Before to reach the top, a small museum proviede an overview of the role of koscuscki. All the information are in polish and no translation are available...

Take care currently on trip advisor, the map is not referring tonthe correct kopiec

“Better on a clear day”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2011

We wondered up to Kosciuskos Mound from Market Square which took us about an hour. Really easy to find and the walk isn't to strenuous although there is a steady incline, there is a bus that goes up there though. Unfortunately we went in the morning so there was still a mist/fog cover restricting our view so it may be better going later in the day. Would have marked higher if we had had a view, a shame about the weather but still a pleasant walk to the mound. Would return just on a better day and later on.
