This hotel is nice and quire and have all you need and expecting in the room including space, convenient bads, safety box, ironing, excellent breakfast, close to the old city and many good restorants around, the prices are cheap to compare similar hotels. the staff friendly, speaking good English and very helpful. since we have 9 rooms for 2 nights my opinion based also on my friends' opinions that fill same. I think that this hotel is 4-star at least.

We stayed one night at the Novotel and the experience was fine. Great location a few minutes stroll through the gardens to a lovely beach and about 30 minutes walk to Sopot Pier, along the beach or the parallel shady path. The following morning we took the no. 6 tram into the city from terminus which is about 15 minutes walk from the Novotel. Room on the 6th floor was fine, shower and towels good. Staff efficient but not over friendly (perhaps a language issue as we, unfortunately, do not speak Polish) and the bar and evening food very limited with slow service. Good breakfast with wide choice for all tastes and preferences.

it might not be the most modern hotel and it does not have the friendliest most attentive staff but the hotel in total is very ok. when checking in, staff ignored us for a few minutes to talk about something.
all in all the hotel is ok, it is right next to the beach, it is a 30 minute walk from Sopot Centre and a 10 Mins walk from the tram which takes you directly into Gdansk center.

when you pay over 800euros you expect minimum service.
when you arrive at 20:08 at the hotel restaurant, ordering 8 pizzas for kids and receive the following answer : we serve pizza only till 20.00 . sorry it is not possible
you get mad !

Horrible hotel, horrible service, dirty old and simple food. Lived there for one year during work in Gdansk. Not a place i would go on a weekend or holiday. The dinner we got served every day was so simple and tasteless. Do not stay on this hotel if you want a nice hotel weekend.
