Decided on the slight detour from Vienna to Prague to explore Brno. Only 15 minutes out of the way, the driver was interesting with travel through small towns with lots of character.
We stopped at a roadside station and plugged in the "where to go" in Trip Advisor and the Old Town square (Liberty Square in Google Maps) was a wonderful little stop. Surrounded by St Peter's Church, statues, and fountains (local children had a blast playing in the water).
A relatively easy drive to the top, parking was the only challenge. The square had a local farmers market going with tons of vendors selling fresh produce. All around the square were shops to explore. Everyone spoke fluent English which certainly helped as we explored over our brief lunch excursion.
The stop was a wonderful break in the day.
