In the center of Prague, minutes from all major touristic attractions. On a small, quiet side street that the crowds seem to bypass. We had a two room apartment with two baths and a kitchen (New York) on the 2nd floor. The cafe Ebel downstairs is a great place for breakfast (which is not included). Another great place for a quiet drink or dinner is the "u Kunštátu" restaurant - located in one of the oldest buildings in the city.
While the accommodations are great, what really sets apart residence Retezova from many other hotels is the quality and dedication of the staff. Alex and Adele were simply outstanding. They arranged for us reservations in Brno to visit the Tugendhat house (website had it as sold out). They also arranged a rental car and tickets to the opera. In an age where customer service seems to often be a thing of the past, it was truly refreshing to experience top quality service. The car service they offer also worked out perfectly.
We would love to go back and may do so in 1 or 2 years. Would not dream of staying elsewhere.
