Interesting building, and a nice mixture of the modernist French and European masters (Picasso, Braques, Rodin, Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, et al.) alongside some much lesser known Czech and Slovak artists, who were strongly influenced by the other Europeans. The gallery is larger than you might expect, and one could easily spend an entire day (or more) exploring the permanent collections without venturing into the special exhibits that cost extra. Our teenage daughters (14 and 17) were free, so the total cost for our family of 4 to enter was surprisingly reasonable.

Recommended if you like modern art.

This museum presents Czech art of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. It is an attractive viewing experience, comprehensive collection, and great educational experience. Highly recommended.

The gallery is is a purpose built building some distance from the old city; the easiest way of getting there is by taxi. A wide range of exhibits for all tastes with a good cafe.

This place is enormous. There was a special collection but we passed on that to see the permanent collections. The top floor photography could have been skipped but it did not take long. The next two floor downs had large collections of European and Czech art. It was well lit - with reasonable english translations. The cafe on the first floor was also a nice spot to stop for a refreshment.

The Veletrzni Palac had a beautiful collection of the Czech art and history. The building contradicts the collection held within. The Veletrzni Palac has the Modern art collection of Czech Republic especially if you're interested in the art of 1800s of Europe. The collection held here is of Picasso, Monet etc.
