“Great place great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 November 2011

This place is a jewel, only two blocks from the National Museum, and four blocks from the State Opera House. Great little breakfast buffet with attention to quality and variety. Clean well kept rooms. Walking distance to all points

Room Tip: Opt fro the larger double room

Nice hotel, breakfast and staf. Central location - not far to walk to the old town square, tram or metro. Located next to the main shopping street.

Our room was very spacious, clean and quite.

We used their transportation service to and from the airport. Cheap and very practical - got a little touring on the way into town.

The only strange thing about this hotel is the signs by the elevator. It says something like: "Use this elevator in case of fire" hopefully they forgot to put in "do not" in front.

The charge extra for use of the jaquzzi and saunas, and you have to book a time in advance. We stayed for three days and they did not have an opening for us. If you want to use it - book a time when you arrive.(however I found it quite expencive...)

If you don't mind being on the edge of the city centre, this is a very good hotel and great value for money. To reach the old city square on foot, it will take around 15 minutes on foot with a reasonably brisk pace. Václavské náměstí (The Vaclav square) is even closer, just a 5 minute walk away. And there are 2 metro stations within the same range and trams.
But be sure to keep an eye on where you step while walking in Prague. There are plenty of dog excrements around on the pavements.

The service within the hotel is impeccable, if a bit on the "cool" side. But that's the Prague-style of service, we guess. Smiling a lot is simply not something they do anywhere in Prague.

There is a nice and quiet bar and restaurant where you can either eat a nice meal in the evening (thu-sat) or have a drink and a snack/sandwich in the bar every day. The menu of the restaurant is varied, but a bit limited. We ate there on two occasions and we were satified, but not much more than that. Just don't expect gourmet food and you will be satisfied too.

The rooms are very spacious (at least ours on the third floor), spotlessly clean and comfortably furnished. Some might find the beds to be on the hard side, but it suited us just fine. The tv:s are now flat-screen and the wifi is wireless in the room. Our room faced the rather heavily trafficed street toward the Museum, but the windows block out noise very well.
The only 2 problems we had with the room was:
1. The air condition sometimes let in a rather nasty smell of smoke. It probably came from the outside since we could smell it there also.
2. The toilet seat was a bit akwardly placed, behind the door of the bathroom. It kept closing towards you whenever you sat down to...:D

Breakfast is served in a nice and airy atrium and lacks nothing in the way of food or drink you expect in the morning (scrambled eggs, pancakes, yoghurt etc). It would have been nice with something more tasty in the way of bread than the rather boring white kind that was offered, but it's a minor complaint.

So all in all our stay was a very pleasant experience. The only thing lacking was maybe a bit of "heart" and touch of personality from the staff.

Room Tip: Top floor rooms are said to be smaller than others with skylight windows

I booked a triple bed room and I satisfy with the room condition and arrangement. The historical building doesn't mean old room. The interior has been weel renovated. The location only by 3 minutes walt to both tram or underground train station, and of course to tourist interest points Nardoni Museum where from there you can walk along the most touristic street in Praha, Vaclavske Street. The street is so chill and it ends at Old Town Square before you realize that you have walk for 15 minutes.
The breakfast is very good. All hotel staffs look very cool and stiff. And the check out time is 11 AM, so I must pack our luggage earlier.

Room Tip: The triple bed room has one big bed and one small bed. But it still enough for family with 2 childre...

3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2011

We stayed at the Seven Days for five nights during the end on August and the beginning of September 2011. The best part of the hotel was the cleanliness. The room and amenities were spotless. I never received a plate or piece of cutlery with a spot of any kind on it and the towels, sheets etc. were also very clean.
Breakfast was good with enough choice so that everyone had something to eat. The one time we had dinner there we both enjoyed it and the staff in the dining room were pleasant and friendly. With one exception I can't say that about the staff at the front desk. Most of the were polite and proper but not friendly and not very helpful.
The worst part of our stay was the location of the hotel. We were a 5-7 minute walk from the nearest form of public transportation and then there was nothing that would take us right to the Old Town Square which is where the centre of the 'action' is. The only thing we were close to was the National Museum which is closed until sometime in 2012 and the top of Wenceslas Square which is just a large boulevard with nothing on it to attract tourists.
It is doubtful if we would stay there again or recommend it to someone else.

Room Tip: Make sure your room isn't one where you have to go up or down half a floor from the elevator.
