“Helpful staff and a free upgrade to a suite.”
Reviewed 22 March 2012 via mobile

We stayed there nights here this month and found it to be excellent. Friendly staff the suite was great although it could do with some updated furniture, but no complaints here. The breakfast was also great, with a large selection catering for anyone's needs really. We also had breakfast in the executive suite but I actually found that (I might be wrong) it was a smaller selection than the "ordinary" breakfast restaurant.
The hotel location isn't the best, it's not a central hotel location, nevertheless it is close to the town centre, just two stops by metro and the station is right in front of the hotel.
For best views of the town ask for a room as high as you can, 19th was ours, and located on the north tower.

Stayed at the Corinthia as a bit of a treat - first of all, great location, can be spotted miles off from most of Prague. Metro station 'Vyšehrad' literally outside the front door of the hotel on line C so very easy and convenient to get to, or around 250 CZK in a taxi from the main station (if a tax driver tells you anymore than 400 CZK find another taxi!!!).

Facilities in the hotel are second to none. Upon arrival you are usually met by the concierge who will take your baggage to your room, show you how everything works and answer any questions. Concierge desk sells useful bits and pieces too like metro tickets and stamps. Hotel has numerous cafes, bars and resturants and of course being Prague its very own casino. Had a wonder and a look at the spa/swimming pool, all looked good but as you'd expect for such an establishment there are extra charges involved.

Stayed in a twin room on the 12th floor, impressive views over the city. The bed was the most comfortable I have every slept in and the shower in the bathroom was very good. Room had all the usual coffee making facilities, satelliete tv in a variety of languages, minibar etc. No iron - however one quick call and one was brought up.

The only downside was the air conditioning didn't seem to work - something that seems to be a common occurence here! Mentioned on checking out (reception staff rightly pointed out that we could have contacted them overnight) but couldn't really be bothered at 2am - my own fault really!! Were given a free drink to say sorry though.

To sum up, I would definately stay here again (as long as I had a room where the air conditioning worked) - this is certainly the best hotel I have ever stayed at in my whole life!!

It has to be said, by no stretch of the imagination is the Corinthia 5 star, however it's a fairly solid 4 star. Rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unless you opt for a room with WiFi included it's expensive. I was in a room with the free WiFi package, but it expired the morning of check out which was irritating when you want to check emails before travelling.

The breakfast in the 22nd floor executive lounge is quite good, and the views make for a nice place to eat. The Spa is not properly equipped, basically there is nothing in the changing rooms apart from showers and toilets, so come prepared with some grooming items if you try the spa.

There is a metro station right outside the hotel, and the hotel also has a good on site taxi service which, while costly, is reliable with goods cars and drivers. More than can be said for one taxi we took back to the hotel after an evening in the city centre.

Word of warning. If you smoke, which I do, the areas where smoking is allowed are limited to part of the lobby bar or outside.

Overall I would return to the Corinthia. It's not a bad hotel and the rooms and staff make up for a few short comings in other areas.

Room Tip: High floor refurbished executive room.

I can heartily recommend this hotel,it is very clean, rooms spacious with every hospitality need covered.Bedding fabulous facilities first class. We had a terrific view over prague too.
It is two metro stops to the centre but we found the underground very easy to use with 24 hour tickets available at reception.
