“Excellent boutique hotel with helpful staff”
Reviewed 19 July 2012

Very nice, well-appointed hotel in a central, yet quiet, location. Most of Prague's main attractions are within walking distance. Good-sized room with air conditioning, free Wi-fi, Nespresso machine and iPod docking station (nice!). Very helpful staff who all spoke excellent English. Great choice at breakfast and the honesty bar in the lounge with tea, coffee and drinks was very appreciated. Airport limo pick-up service was good too. Can't fault it and would recommend this great hotel.

This is definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed. Hotel staff are very friendly, every morning they greet you with a smile on their face, even the cleaner is doing the same! The breakfast is amazing! Fresh fruit, different cakes, hot meals everyday! I don't know about other luxury hotels in Prague but I can tell you that its breakfast is far better than ALL the 5 star hotels I've stayed in Australia and New Zealand. Most importantly, its location is perfect. 5 minutes walking to the old town square, 2 minutes walking to the Municipal House and the Powder Tower. Hotel decor is modern and chic. I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Prague.

After reading several positiveTripAdvisor and guidebook reviews of Maximilian Hotel we booked a reservation as soon as we could. We arranged in advance to be picked up at the train station by the hotel taxi and were met at the right place and time. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient and our room was ready and waiting for us. Since we had just come off a night train from Amsterdam we were hungry and the front desk encouraged us to have some breakfast. It was delicious and definitely a highlight at the Maximilian. We also liked the location near the historic center of Prague. Overall, the Maximilian Hotel was fabulous!

Have just returned from 2nd weekend stay at the Maximilian Hotel in 2 weeks. Both stays were throughly enjoyable. An excellent location, helpful staff, fantastic breakfast and spacious bedrooms with large comfortable beds all made the stay memorable. Only a minor problem was we had difficulty on both occasions with getting the DVD player to work. Apart from that I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.

We spent the last three nights here. Big clean bedrooms and bathroom great. Friendly staff, great buffet but location to old Prague it's best feature. Helpful on all levels, maybe next time I'll leave the wife at home and bring the boys!!
