Our two-nights stay at Atali Ganga was memorable!
The views were breathtaking, worth the climbing up and down, and a balm for the soul. An alternative to the steps would be nice though.
The food was delicious offering something for everyone, including non-gluten non-dairy food. The sundowners on the deck, while watching the Sunset and sharing stories, were a delight. The service was courteous and efficient. From the check-in to the dining, housekeeping, touring, rafting and check-out, it was well done.
The cottage itself was inviting one to just chill and do nothing. I was tempted to do just that. But, the river, the Ganga beckoned.
The next morning was rafting which seemed a bit daunting. The Atali Ganga rafting team, along with the safety kayaks, guided us quite well and the butterflies in the stomach vanished soon enough. My spouse tipped over in one of the rapids but was rescued and back on the raft in a jiffy. Navigating the rapids was good fun. Drifting on the still waters and taking in the river views was calming and rejuvenating.
For us, ‘Atali Ganga’ was ‘refreshing and rejuvenating Ganga.’More
