“Big bedroom lovely king size bed.”
Reviewed 30 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Had two nights, three days and would have loved to have stayed longer. Big bedroom, rice paper style sheers on the windows gave lovely airy ambience. King size bed very comfortable. With fresh air, bird song, beautiful view we slept like logs. Jayne and Mark were perfect hosts as was their old Lab....always available if we needed them but quietly in the background. We discovered lovely walking tracks by the river, did a little fishing, lots of reading, coffee at Svarmisk ( the best) lovely brunch and homemade cakes there too. Mt Beauty has 2300 population but surprising for its size has some lovely gift and lady's clothing shops. I bought a beautiful scarf and beads. Sth. Tawonga and Mt Beauty are more or less joined. My husband donated $10 to a machine at the club ( I don't usually like clubs). Being a bit of a snob I reluctantly agreed to roast of the day $15 and homemade apple crumble ($2.!!!) there. We loved ever mouthful. All beautifully cooked. The club and toilets were really spotlessly clean and the service very friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised.
We had some lovely meals, lunches and brunches in the town... . nice wine, good coffee...all very, very good. GREAT accommodation and perfect scenery and weather...what more could you ask for. Good value at $190 week nights. Highly recommended.

“Amazing views and a great place to relax”
Reviewed 10 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

The views of Mt Bogong and the Kiewa Valley from the cottage are truly awesome and it's a great place to kick back and unwind. The bedroom is really spacious and it was good to be able to appreciate the view from the comfy bed! We enjoyed a really yummy salad roll from the local bakery while sitting on the deck watching the gliders and both the places Jane recommended for dinner and coffee were excellent. It was lovely to have a fire place and even better that the other heating kicked in quickly when we got home from dinner and it had gone out! Just FYI - the driveway is steep but I guess that makes the view so good!

“Heavenly views and a base for the weekend”
Reviewed 22 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

The view of the Kiewa Valley from the balcony at this place is breathtaking. The facilities has all I needed for a weekend or a week. The fire was cheery and warm, the breakfast on the balcony is a breathtaking way to eat muesli and down a coffee while contemplating the day's mountain biking, hiking, wineries or to sit in the sun as i did and polish off half a novel with a couple of glasses of the local drop. Mark and Jayne are very friendly and knowledgeable about the local region. Bedroom is enormous and comfy. Wow, just can't wait to go back again. Highly recommended - possibly the best location to base yourself when visiting the area.
