“Fab little cottage! ”

We stayed at Yetlands Cottage for 3 nights. It is a lovely little base if you are wanting to explore the Lake District and Peak District. The cottage itself has everything required for a comfortable stay for a couple. My partner and I and our little dog were made to feel very welcome by the owners, who had even prepared the log burner for our arrival.
Lovely garden area which we spent a sunny afternoon in, which was private and we felt comfortable enough to use.
Cottage feels very much home from home, we felt like we could enjoy it without being scared of touching anything.
Found the prices very reasonable compared to others in the area.
Would definitely recommend! Thank you for our stay!

“Holiday Heaven”
Reviewed 23 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just back from a 4 day break with my wife at Thackmoor Nook. We could not have been to feel more welcome by the owner Dick. The cottage is in a perfect setting with beautiful garden and loads of wildlife to observe. Dick was always on hand when required to provide information on the best places to visit, eat and drink.
The cottage itself is a delightfully kept, in an immaculate condition with a lovely log fire. Everything you need is catered for. When eating out we would recommend either of the 2 pubs in nearby Kirkoswald, the food was fab and plentiful.
We can't wait to go back.

“Little hidden gem x”
Reviewed 6 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Unfortunately we only got to sty here for 1 night on our way up to Scotland but it was the perfect little stop off for me, the hubby and the three dogs! Would have like to have found some more walks and enjoyed the lovely scenery more. Clean, well equipped and you can also enjoy their little garden. The owners are right next door and are warm and friendly people. Would definitely recommend.

Just spend a week in this lovely part of the world and Yetlands cottage is very cosy and warm with a log fire stove . everything is provided inside the cottage from dishwasher (which i was happy with as i am the chief cook and bottle washer lol ) to maps and pair of binoculars . The owner Dick is a lovely helpful person and thoroughly enjoyed my stay and already looking forward to coming back .
