A hidden treasure in Northbridge. A short walk down to spectacular views of the bay, down to the spit and across to Clontarf. At low tide a small beach area for children to play. Grab a coffee at Bonds Corner and go for some down time.

On a beautiful sunny winter morning we took the doggies to Clive Park at Northbridge. It is a very pleasant walk down through bush tracks to the water's edge. There are children's playgrounds and picnic areas on the way. The little beach greets you with a panoramic view of Middle Harbour with a perfect north east aspect. Coming back we took a different track via the Northbridge Sailing Club. There is plenty of parking at the top of the walk where there is a bus terminus. A lovely outing!

I live 100 metres away from Clive Park and it's a wonderful, teensy little harbour beach that I go to up to 5 times a week. Usually with my dog, often with my teenage daughter or friends.
Clive park begins on Sailors Bay road Northbridge, is just a walkway that's visible behind a bus stop really. There is a public toilet (old style stone) abd you simply walk down the path, which takes you steeply down a hill. You are quickly met with a small but well appointed little kids area. It has some swings and a nice seat for grown ups, all of this completely surrounded by tall trees abd bush land. As you continue down the steep slope it opens up to a gorgeous park, the view of which is over the harbour, north facing and very beautiful. It has built in bbq's and lots of grass and various picnic areas. Though not huge, on weekends there are lots of kids parties abd family groups around. That being said its never over busy, which I believe to be s function of its discreet location.
Continue down the steep hill abd you get to the water, abd therefore mentioned harbour beach, it has a lot of sand, loads of caves, at low tide some exposed Sydney rock oysters so take care with your dog abd your own feet, abd the water is clean and clear and never rough. The views look out to Seaforth and the spit bridge and boats are constantly passing by.
All in all a great spot, usually with a few local labs like mine, making it feel friendly but still clean.

Clive Park is located at the end of Sailors Bay Road, about 3 km from Northbridge Junction. It is an area of natural bushland, which has been enhanced by the local bushcare regeneration group who are passionate in their activities. It contains a small play area with two swings, including one for infants, about 50 m walk down a bush track from the parking area. The area is predominantly frequented by locals, as it is more of a community walking-and-bushland-area than a tourist one, though beautiful views can be obtained from sections of the bushland tracks. Public toilets are located at the roadside top of the park, where there is limited public parking.
