Average hotel, looks nice. The shower gives little water and so hard to manipulate it is too hot or too cold. Nothing in between. Stayed at the 6th floor. Nice view. Good breakfast paid 11 euros and near worth it

A decent hotel, nice rooms, easy access. Reception not unfriendly but limited English makes advice a bit sketchy. There are welcoming variety of iced water drinks in reception.
To get to the hotel you need to be going south on Hermanos Becerril, on the side access road. You can park on this road or turn right on Ronda San Jose to the hotel entrance and park on either side of this space.
To walk to hanging houses (casa colgadas) and bridge to the Parador, go north up Becerril and Fermi Caballero, then right on Ramona y Caja, Las Torre, Paseo de Huecar. No need to hike up to plaza mayor like I did.
For the Castillo, best way, cross road from hotel, turn right for 100 yards to bus stop. Reception told me to take line 1 (red) to plaza mayor, but it's still a stiff hike up to the Castillo. Line 2 (blue) takes you right up to the Castillo. You could drive along Colon, then wind up to plaza mayor along the bus route. There is a big car park at the Castillo, but bus is easier.
You can then walk downhill all the way to the hotel. Either through paseo del Huecar, or drop down footpath to river on the north side and back over puente San anton, lovely walk.
Dinner at hotel is good and great value at €15 for 3 courses, bread, water, wine and coffee. Only starts at 8:30 though.

A nice, clean fresh and airy hotel room. No frills or fuss but pure comfort and cleanliness. Nice to spend a weekend. Perfectly located within walking distance of the main attractions in Cuenca city centre. (Cuenca is small though)

She stayed one night in November 2016 to break the drive from Alicante to Santander. Travelling from the south the hotel was easy to find on the main road entering the 'new' part of the city. Adjoining streets offered an abundance of parking, i.e. there were plenty of places in close proximity and many immediately outside the hotel.

The hotel was smartly furnished, clean, tidy and very comfortable, especially the bed! Breakfast was excellent. Plenty of choice and expertly & appetisingly laid out. Great!

On such a short stay we didn't use all of the facilities but what we did use was very satisfactory. The staff were courteous and very helpful. The city map we were given, with tips of where to go, was very useful. Thanks.

Be prepared, the hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the 'old town' where several more hours can be consumed walking around this fabulous city. But it is essential viewing. Like us, you will need to make room in your diary for a further visit. Cuenca oozes history and wonderful architecture. Don't miss it.
