Stayed here as a couple for two weekends, good location for bars restaurants, harbour, bus stop. Bus goes to Protaras which is worth a visit and costs only 1 Euro each way, bus runs every 20 mins. Only 5 minutes walking distance from beach and harbour, and the famous and beautiful Nisi Beach is only a short bus journey away. Rooms were clean and attended to every day. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We were bed and breakfast and breakfast choice was reasonable and there was plenty. Although swim up bar was not opened due to it being seasonal, pool was large and very clean as was the surrounding area. Would recommend this hotel and will definately be visiting it again,

Room Tip: side sea view is very reasonable and with very good sea view.

Myself and a friend stayed at the Faros Hotel during the last week of September (we were over in Cyprus for a friends wedding). The hotel was fairly quiet due to it being end of season and there were hardly any other English guests. The room was fine - abit dated, but clean and comfortable. We stayed bed and breakfast at the hotel - breakfast was ok but very basic and not a great deal of choice. The plus points of this hotel is its location (close to the main shopping areas, bars and restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the strip - and also its swimming pool which is massive and clean. Although the pool bar wasnt open so that was a bit disapointing :( There wasnt much of an atmosphere at the hotel but I guess that was because of the time of year but during peak season I bet its fun. We found the hotel staff to be pleasant and friendly - especially when we returned home from the wedding (drinking all day) and we couldn't remember our room number, ha! There are some trendy bars across the road from the hotel and some beautiful restaurants further on up the road.

This was our second visit to Faros hotel. The location is great especially if you're traveling with children or babies. The pool is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are a bit tired now but you would forgive them once you start swimming in their pool:)

The hotel is ok. Its located about 15 minutes straight walk to the main square. Far enough to take you away from the hustle and bustle of what Napa is all about, but close enough to walk into it. There are nice family bars close by for people who are wanting a family holiday. This hotel is vastley populated with the slightley "maturer" generation! The pool is really clean and very big!

There is a swim up bar which serves the same drinks as on the all inclusive menu however, you can not use this swim up bar if you are all inclusive, unless you want to pay, which I thought was really unfair. The drinks on the all inclusive menu are very restricted. There is a large variety of other drinks however if you want to pay. The food is not that great if Im being honest. On two seperate occasions the food I chose was uncooked. (chicken for tea was red in the middle and eggs for breakfast still had uncooked slimy egg white) I would suggest that you check the food thoroughly if you chose to feed young children here. As part of the all inclusive you will receive breakfast, dinner and tea. Be sure not miss any meal tho as there are no snacks available unless you want to pay for them. You are not allowed to have ice cream niether as part of the all inclusive menu unless you either want to pay or under the age of 14. If you are attending the hotel as self catering we noticed that you receive waiter service. When we asked why we couldnt receive this we were told that its because they paid whilst we were all inclusive so we could not receive this treatment. :( (not that we would of needed it, we are not too lazy to go to the bar, I just thought the ethics of it all was a bit poor). There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. There is a fridge but it is locked unless you want to pay for the key.

The staff are miserable! Im sorry but that is the only way to describe them! (apart from Andreas, Michael and George the security guard, and even the cheaky Nicos! lol) You four really made staying in the hotel worth while. So pleasant and polite and really helpful. The manager Diana also seemed nice but the chefs, housekeeping and the other bar staff found it so hard to crack a smile! We made it a secret mission to see who the first to get a smile from certain staff could be! Certain staff made us feel like they just did not want to serve us. We asked a manager if he minded taking a photograph of us and he just groaned and passed the camera over to bar staff to take like he was far to important to be taking photographs! saying that tho, they didnt seem to mind us having a good time as at times we were a bit wild and they just turned a blind eye to it! ;)

Ayia Napa is amazing for all different types of holiday makers with something to do for all ages. Will not be returning to this hotel again but will always enjoy the memories that we shared with Michael and Andreas!! :)

I spent 3 nights in Faros in May 2011 and I was positively surprised by the amenities the hotel has to offer such as the beautiful swimming pool. The hotel is well equipped, big and well decorated for a 3 stars. My room was good as well, but the only thing I can blame was the bed sheet that wasn't completely white. That is, I'm sure it was washed and clean but we could see some stains that persisted which made me feel a bit disgusted somehow. This has to be improved asap. It's a pity because everything else is perfect.
I felt that overall the hotel was better than expected as I paid only 55eur/night during my stay but I know that in high seasons the price is triple that so it depends...
As many said its biggest advantage is its location, IMO the best in Ayia Napa because close to the beach, the port and the downtown! When I'll go back to Ayia Napa, I'll probably go back to this hotel if the I still find good deals because as I mentioned, the hotel is excellent only if the prices remain low.
