We have just returned from a last minute break to Cyprus. I was nervous about booking as some people were very negative towards the hotel, but i was running out of time and hoped for the best. I didnt need to worry. What a lovely hotel, friendly reception staff greeted us and we were given our family suite for the week. The room was very comfortable, bunk beds and a cot for our baby- we travelled with a 6yr old and a 18mth old. with sliding doors to seperate the rooms
We stayed on a B&B basis and that was a good choice as we got to explore the area in the evenings and try different restaurants. we did eat lunch round the pool everyday- which was bought to us at our sunbeds along with drinks that we ordered.the food in my opinion wasnt expensive for the convienience of not moving a muscle and it was very nice food. Jacket Potatos, fish dishes, BBQ burgers, various salads and soups, a large selection to suit children and adults alike
The immediate beach next to the pool is a bit rocky and mainly used for snorkelling or diving we found but still a lovely place to relax. The hotel is almost on Nissi Beach which is a gorgeous beach, white sands and turquoise sea. You walk off the hotel gardens on to it so it takes seconds to get to and a beach I would recommend for families at this time of year (out of season)
The pools are beautiful with waterfalls, a lazy river which the kids loved to ride inflatables around and entertained the kids for hours. There are 2 waterslides to which were very popular with the children.
The hotel was very quiet and very relaxing but i imagine this is different in peak season so I couldnt comment about that time of year.
The hotel is about 40mins walk to central Ayia Napa or a 10minute taxi ride costing 8euros. After walking and using taxis throughout the week, at the end of the holiday we caught the bus which stops outside the hotel and goes every 15mins 24hrs a day at 1euro per person! bargain! i would recommend this method of transport if yuou are not in a rush!
I do agree that the pillows were too hard but the everything else was very nice.
The staff were very helpful and couldnt have done anymore for us. I asked how much it would be to keep the room an extra 2hrs as we didnt want to leave till 2.15pm and check out is 12 and they said it would cost nothing extra and they would allow us to stay until we were ready to leave. Not what I was expectimg, but very pleased!
Next I asked how much it would be to use the internet which I needed to print my boarding passes off and check in online with BA and they told me to use the managers office free of charge. Everyone was so helpful.
They then advised me to book the taxi to the airport in advance with them rather than use the ones outside so it was cheaper (to Larnaca airport 50 euros)
We used trip advisor to locate restaurants that were recommended and we enjoyed every meal-De Medici- Italian- lovely food, Hokkaido- Japanese, great cooking show thoroughly enjoyed by all and lovely food, Clarabel- Lovely steaks
Would I visit this hotel again- yes i would and am thinking of booking another week there in October, we really had a lovely time and were sad to leave.
Thanks to all the staff at Adams Beach, lovely holiday.
