“Lovely Hotel, Brilliant stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2012

We have just returned from a last minute break to Cyprus. I was nervous about booking as some people were very negative towards the hotel, but i was running out of time and hoped for the best. I didnt need to worry. What a lovely hotel, friendly reception staff greeted us and we were given our family suite for the week. The room was very comfortable, bunk beds and a cot for our baby- we travelled with a 6yr old and a 18mth old. with sliding doors to seperate the rooms
We stayed on a B&B basis and that was a good choice as we got to explore the area in the evenings and try different restaurants. we did eat lunch round the pool everyday- which was bought to us at our sunbeds along with drinks that we ordered.the food in my opinion wasnt expensive for the convienience of not moving a muscle and it was very nice food. Jacket Potatos, fish dishes, BBQ burgers, various salads and soups, a large selection to suit children and adults alike
The immediate beach next to the pool is a bit rocky and mainly used for snorkelling or diving we found but still a lovely place to relax. The hotel is almost on Nissi Beach which is a gorgeous beach, white sands and turquoise sea. You walk off the hotel gardens on to it so it takes seconds to get to and a beach I would recommend for families at this time of year (out of season)
The pools are beautiful with waterfalls, a lazy river which the kids loved to ride inflatables around and entertained the kids for hours. There are 2 waterslides to which were very popular with the children.
The hotel was very quiet and very relaxing but i imagine this is different in peak season so I couldnt comment about that time of year.
The hotel is about 40mins walk to central Ayia Napa or a 10minute taxi ride costing 8euros. After walking and using taxis throughout the week, at the end of the holiday we caught the bus which stops outside the hotel and goes every 15mins 24hrs a day at 1euro per person! bargain! i would recommend this method of transport if yuou are not in a rush!
I do agree that the pillows were too hard but the everything else was very nice.

The staff were very helpful and couldnt have done anymore for us. I asked how much it would be to keep the room an extra 2hrs as we didnt want to leave till 2.15pm and check out is 12 and they said it would cost nothing extra and they would allow us to stay until we were ready to leave. Not what I was expectimg, but very pleased!

Next I asked how much it would be to use the internet which I needed to print my boarding passes off and check in online with BA and they told me to use the managers office free of charge. Everyone was so helpful.

They then advised me to book the taxi to the airport in advance with them rather than use the ones outside so it was cheaper (to Larnaca airport 50 euros)

We used trip advisor to locate restaurants that were recommended and we enjoyed every meal-De Medici- Italian- lovely food, Hokkaido- Japanese, great cooking show thoroughly enjoyed by all and lovely food, Clarabel- Lovely steaks

Would I visit this hotel again- yes i would and am thinking of booking another week there in October, we really had a lovely time and were sad to leave.
Thanks to all the staff at Adams Beach, lovely holiday.

We came in mid-April, so it was just a little too early for the really nice pool/beach weather. The water was quite chilly and the hotel's water slide was only open occasionally. Also, many activites were not open (local water parks) as the big tourist season gets going in May. The hotel itself was fine. Breakfast buffet was adequate and the outdoor pool area is quite nice. However, everything needs updating. I can't complain too much as the price was fair and the front desk staff were very nice and friendly. The location is a little outside of Ayia Napa, about a 20 minute walk to the center of the city, but an enjoyable walk or bike ride. Bring your own pillow unless you like hard ones. It looks like they are building a new section that should open soon, so it might be worth a stay in the near future.

Just returned from sunny Cypruss and it was very nice, traveled with my wife and two sons age five and eight. We were on BB basis and the brakefast was very good lot of food to choose for everybody something. The room was good, but only for me the bad was not good cause it s to soft.
Wether was nice,it was hot about 28 deegre of celsius, but water in the pools was cold and the see was cold,it s like on canary islands about 21 deegres but you can swim if you brave enough,my sons and me swim every day,my wife only two times. We were at begining of April so we dont have any entertenment in the hotel,we were first guests with other 25 people, hotel was open on first of April when we arrive. On the beach is only one bar that was open,so u cant choose a lot of diferent food and beverages. If you like to go in the city choose the local bus,the station is inthe front of hotel, for only 2 euro you get one day ticket kids are free.Center is 4 km awai and with taxi is 8 euro in one direction. In the center you have some restoraunt old monastir to see and for kids you have luna park.Price are: one dish is about from 12 to 34 euro for kids is 5 euro, coffe is from 2,80 to 3,50 euro, beer is 4 to 5 euro in the market is 2,20 local beers, all in all for me very expensive, but to stay on sunny and swim in cristal clear sea amaizing experience and I recomended to everybody who likes sun and beach

Nice location, nice pool, but definitely this is not a 5 star hotel.

Looks like it was built with the intention to be 5 star but they are now trying to attract lower budget customers and cut cost making the hotel feel like a 3 star.

Needs renovation, more staff and better training.

We especially didn't like:
- The check in experience. Took too long and we found some of the reception staff borderline rude (with the notable exception of on gentleman whose name I forget)
-too many children running around.
-Hotel seemed a bit run-down

We liked:
- The pool and the pool bar
- The view from our room
- The breakfast

If this was advertised as a 3-star I would have rated it higher, but if you expect a 5-star i strongly recommend against it!

The Hotel list themselves as 5 star but in reality the rooms are much more 3 star.
Clean, tidy and lots of amenities. The Gym is 5 star, the beauty parlor is 5 Star and the food is excellent. We had a fantastic stay here. Located away from the liveliest area's and close to the water park. Always always hire a car in Cyprus as all the eateries away from the town centers are amazing. If the rooms were re-done this would be a 5 star for sure. I would go back but definitely try to specify a refurbed room.
