12 of us travelled to Stawell by V/Line on New Years day and as the Diamond House is only a few blocks from the railway station, the Diamond House fitted the bill admirably.
We started off with an expensive Great Western bubbly which was meant to be an aperitif, however 6 bottles later the cellar had run out and by then it was time for dessert.
All the main courses were well presented and were excellent, however the lime cheesecake had not a hint of lime despite the 'lime' flavouring added to the cheesecake.
This isn't a cheap eats, however we were pleased the manager opened especially for us on New Years day, but we spent a considerable sum and made it worthwhile for him.
The downhill walk back to the station was appreciated by several of our group after our long and enjoyable lunch..
