Nice neat and tidy rooms. Very helpful staff. Quiet despite being on the main drag. Easy drive to Melbourne the next morning, around 2.5 hours. Stawell is big enough to get something to eat and drink.

First date and went to plain. The fire was going nicely so the dining room was lovely, the stuff were friendly and the meals were spot on. We both enjoyed what we ordered.

The hit of the night was walking on to the little jetty looking over the lake.

Ps the table was a little unbalanced, but I quickly fixed it with one of the little menus, witch got a giggle out of my date. Haha

Stuck in the 80s, too few power points, no electric blanket on bed, cracked tiles on the bathroom floor. The most expensive motel in Stawell would never recommend. Restaurant ok but my friends schnitzel would better be named "sole of shoe".

Room Tip: go somewhere else.

This is a traditional single storey motor lodge- but it is spotless and well cared for both in the rooms and around the grounds. There is a lake and nice outdoor seating near the restaurant in the better weather. The beds are extremely comfortable with nice linen. Wifi good. It is located a little out of town (<2km) however for a work visit this was fine- and dinner at the restaurant excellent (see seperate review). The service was fabulous, very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again for work or leisure.
