My partner and I had a lovely visit to Glen Isla House, Ian and his wife were so welcoming and the accommodation was beautiful. Thank you for having us! Beautifully kept grounds, 5 star accommodation... 2min walk out the back gate to the beach and jetty and so close to the main strip of Cowes, highly recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and thanks especially for the kind words...

Since opening to welcome guest to our historic property in 2003, its always been our 'mantra' to warmly welcome guests and to offer the best advice on local things to see and do, cafes & restaurants etc We treat our guests just as we would hope to be treated when arriving at accommodations.

Personal recommendations mean a lot to us, and we thank you sincerly.

Hope to see you again at Glen Isla for another visit...

Warm regards,
Ian & Maddie

We made a big mistake! We should have booked for longer. This was the very best accommodation we have had. The breakfast was superb and the hosts Madeleine and Bill were both friendly and professional. The fortified wine which was in the room went down very well after a busy day sightseeing. The layout of the whole establishment was obviously carefully and cleverly done. All I can add is that if you book Glen Isla House you will not be disappointed

Thanks for the review and kind words!
Your feedback about wishing you had stayed longer is unfortunately a regular theme.
Glen Isla's peaceful and serene heritage gardens, the beach just out the back gate and so many things to see and do here on Phillip Island all add-up to a stay of 2-3 days, but unfortunately so many agents advise there is nothing to do at Phillip ISland apart from seeing our world famous Little Penguins!
Whether its chilling-out here in the authentic heritage gardens or taking in the wildlife, you can certainly while away a few days...
We certainly appreciated your stay and trust you had a safe journey back home...
Hope to see you again if you're in our region.
Warm regards,
Ian & Maddie

As soon as you enter the drive and drive down the driveway you forget about the world and day to day stresses of everyday life. We had the pleasure of a private tour of the accommodation available and the beautiful gardens by hosts Ian and Maddie, we will be booking something down the track, for a girls weekend. Loved the little touches in each room. Ian and Maddie years of hard work that you should be very proud of - thankyou

Hello Lisa,
Sounds like you could 'feel the serenity' here at Glen Isla.
Its a comment we receive often from our guests, especially those who arrive after some days on the road from Sydney on a self-drive tour, and also from guests seeking to escape the bustle of city life for a couple of days of 'serenity'!
The pristine sandy beach - 100 metres directly out the back gate. Restaurants and cafes - 3 minutes away by car (or a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the beach into town), and if you fancy some rather speacial wine - there's our own Phillip Island winery "The Purple Hen" about 20 minutes away by car - eons of awards for their wines.
Lots to do and see, or if you wish, just switch off here in the authentic and very private heritage gardens dating back to the late 1800's...
Thanks indeed for dropping by and leaving a review. Hope to see you again soon...
Warm regards,
Ian & Madeleine

We started our journey down the Great Ocean Road from Philip Island as we had to see the little penguins in their natural habitat. Amazing.
We stayed at the Glen Isla House guest house. We were had to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Madelaine and Ian Baker a “big thank” you for making our stay so enjoyable. We loved our room. We wish that we had stayed longer. Best regards Tim and Gilly
