If I’m paying $22 for a beef & reef burger, I would be expecting a gourmet burger, not a below average burger with three prawns on the side.

Also ordered fish & chips with salad. Chips & salad very fresh. Fish batter was soggy and the fish was only luke warm. ? freshness.

However, the owners are very sociable and you can see they have made a great deal of improvements as he was quiet eager to tell us.

Might just have their ice cream next time.

Stopped here for brunch on our way into Freycinet park. The poached eggs on toast were delicious. We were also given a lot of useful information on how to make the most of our visit to the park and Coles Bay.

Stopped on way to Coles Bay for a Coffee beak. Coffee was undrinkable & tasted terrible.

Need to understand making coffee. Who makes coffee from Pods that's something you use at Home & not in a retail enviroment. @ $5ea such a rip for s..t

We left Coles Bay headed to Hobart in the morning and had plans to head to Port Arthur. We stopped at The Pondering Frog for a quick brekky which was lovely. I had the biggest bowl of fresh fruit with Greek yoghurt and a cup of EBT and hubby had eggs and bacon on toast & coffee. We were both really happy with our choices which usually differ and the service was excellent.
Even better was the friendly hospitality and supportive enquiry as to our plans for the day. As we shared our plans we were given fantastic suggestions on how to maximise our trip, including tips on the fact that MONA is closed on Tuesday, Port Arthur would probs be too much, best place to get fuel and handy short cuts and extra special sights to see.
Would definitely recommend for a cheap and cheerful menu and some potential expert advice that good make all the difference to your travel plans. It was a godsend for us
