Really enjoyed our stay at Oceans. we stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment (2 adults and 2 children) and were happy with the amenities and mod cons we paid that extra for. If there had been anything less though we would have been disappointed given the price we paid. The pool was beautiful and got sun most of day which was important for us. The kitchen facilities were lovely as were the bathrooms. Location is great and rooms are nice and quiet.More
What an AWESOME weekend.... You cant go past the style and feel of these fantastic units...The views are just amazing... Spent many an hour in the roof top spa and out on the balcony looking at Mooloolaba beach....

Stayed here November 2011 with a group of friends. Half of us had booked the 2 bedroom penthouse and the other (including me) stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Upon entering, we were thrilled by the extravagant interior; it was so cool. The view from the balcony was nice, too.
I was disappointed, however, that you had to pay for the pods for the espresso machine. But the main problem that discredits their supposed '5-star' reputation was the fact that the water and ice machine on the fridge didn't work- in either the penthouse or the apartment. Call me fussy, but with what we were paying per night, they should have made sure everything was working. We asked them to fix it but they didn't know how, and said it would take a few days for someone to come in and fix it, by which time we would be gone anyway.
So yeah, nice place but not completely satisfied with the maintenance.
Dear Harpy1101, thankyou for posting your review and I am sorry your experience at Oceans was not up to standard, I cannot understand why both ice makers would not be working, they are checked before every arrival. I will pass your comments onto maintenance.
We had the 3 bedroom penthouse and 3 bedroom deluxe apartment. The penthouse was a little disappointing - quite small living area and very hot in the morning even with the aircon on. Good ocean views and decor. A lap pool on the roof is advertised but you couldn't swim a lap in it. It was tiny. Rooftop BBQ facilities were excellent. The deluxe apartment, on the other hand, was superb - very spacious with spectacular ocean views. We (6 couples) spent most of our "at home" time there. The receptionists and cleaning staff were great but don't lock yourself out accidentally after 7 pm. We rescued two very stressed occupants whom we took to our apartment to contact the advertised emergency phone number - engaged signal for at least 30 mins. They finally got through but had a rather rude response. Pool and spa are terrific and the location is great. Everything is within walking distance. We were on the 9th and 10th floors and it was very quiet so it was perfect for a sleep in. We had a fantastic week-end.

It is unfortunate that the other guests locked themselves out and could not get through to the after hours number, it was a phone problem that has been rectified and thank you for assisting them.
enjoyed our time, although when I book things I really take notice of reviews - i was quite taken aback when seeing our room, was nothing like i had seen pics of etc - had quite a bad musty smell, the floor was dirty and was really not worth the money.
Dear annem, thank you for your review I am somewhat suprised at it, as we pride ourselves on our housekeeping standard as our reviews attest too. All rooms are checked by maintenance, housekeeping and front desk prior to arrival, so if the floor was dirty and unit musty it would have been addressed. the limestone floors are a natural stone and can look patchy and the units have been fully booked over January and not locked up, so I am not sure what the musty smell was, but I assure it they are clean. I hope you return to Oceans one day.
We had a great time. Staff were very helpful. Rooms were clean. Whenever we needed our rooms serviced there were no problems. GREAT toddler pool, which is the main reason why we booked it and wasn't disappointed. Location is good, not smack bang in the middle, but close enough to everything and a walk/stroll to all the major services. Coles is very close so if you are self catering that is very handy. The only criticisms that we had were that the TV's are linked (so that's not very big) but if you are watching a DVD in the loungeroom it comes through to the bedroom, if there were two DVD's that would be spectacular. We had a really lovely stay, would recommend it to others.
