I booked a double room with ensuite. What I got was worse than a prison cell - bare concrete block walls, a double bed with a mattress that was really squeeky and lopsided, a rickety wicker chair and nothing else apart from the shower/toilet. No night table, no cupboard, not even a shelf. All my things had to stay on the floor. There were two holes in the wall that obviously held the bracket for a TV but the both were non existent (it was obvious it was for a TV because the aerial connection was below).
And the noise at night right through to the wee small hours was unbelievable!! If you want a party-packers, this is the place for you. If you want a good night's sleep, stay well away.
The kitchen was an absolute pig-sty. There was a notice up to wash and dry your dishes, but there were no tea towels to dry them with, supposing you even bothered to wash them.
If this had been my first experience of a backpackers, I would never visit another, but fortunately there ARE some that are reasonable. This is not one of them.
It does have free wifi, but only in the reception/lounge area. None in rooms. It also has free breakfast between 8 & 9am but I didn't use this service. The location is excellent, being a very short distance to the beach in one direction and a reasonable shopping centre within walking distance the other way.

Room Tip: The rooms in the other block looked much nicer, from the outside. No experience of what they were like inside.

I enjoyed this hostel from the first moment!!! The stuff and the guest are like a family and always helpfully! The rooms are very clean and the free activities are sooo good. I never had so many opportunists in an other hostel. The yoga helped me to stretch my mussels after stand up paddling with the super instructor Sam!! Thanks for that!

This hostel is in the perfect location and is right opposite the greyhound bus stop. It was clean, friendly and very relaxed. They have free shuttle buses to the zoo, free paddle board hire, surf board hire, breakfast, wifi and so much more! Beds are comfy and room has lockers. Kitchens are nice and have everything you need, also a lounge area and balcony on each floor which was cool. Very social hostel and staff are always happy to help. Lovely few days away here, only wish i could stay longer! Great value for money

I really enjoyed staying in this hostel, it is friendly and offers a host of free stuff such as equipment hire. I especially enjoyed the stand up paddle board lessons/sessions with Sam. A great way to start the day/break up the afternoon.
Free WIFI, free breakfast, free fun!!!

Room Tip: balcony rooms are handy as its nice to get outside in the beautiful weather as much as you can.

Lovely hostel, clean and tidy. Right next to the beach. Free activities such as bike hire, day trips and paddle boarding with the lovely Sam! Such a chilled experience with her and a lot of fun :) would recommend trying! Overall a great stay!
