The value for money on this resort is not very good. The rooms are tiny, the doona had brown stains all over it, the toilet was filthy and on top of that we booked through booking.com and the price on the said “includes all taxes and charges” only to then have the hotel charge us a credit card surcharge without informing us.

The convenience of the location is the only thing I enjoyed about this hotel and I certainly won’t be paying as much as I did to stay here again.

Room is tiny. Photos of rooms are an illusion.
Toilet needs a good bleaching.
Old towels need replacing.
Despite high cost of staying they still wanted to charge for a late check out despite the hotel being almost empty !!
We would not stay here again.
On a positive note it is in a good location.

Room tip: Don't choose a standard room, they are tiny

The room was tiny and dirty. The shower was gross. We upgraded to a bigger room half way through (which we had to pay full price for) because the standard room was far too small. The shower was also dirty in this room. There was hair stuck to the walls, someone’s fake eyelash.... wouldn’t recommend.

We travel to Airlie Beach for few days and we book the Heart & Gallery Hotel. We had a great time, the location its just perfect, in the main road and few steps from the lagoon (kind of big swimming pool). So everything its close by. The staff great and helpful on our enquires. The manager Mr. Aquilina absolutely a fantastic person, very knowledgeable and full of advice on how to get the best of Airlie Beach. We really had a fantastic time in Airlie Beach and in the hotel...absolutely recommend...and we will be back, as well to stay again in the Heart & Gallery Hotel.

Stayed at the Heart Hotel due to reviews saying that the beds were comfortable on the soft side (which we like) though the pillows were high and hard and not so comfortable. The room is compact (similar to rooms in UK) but comfortable and well appointed plus a balcony overlooking the car park / beach lagoon and islands which was beautiful. Unfortunately the balcony outdoor chairs were weathered and broken (when we advised reception they were aware of the damaged chairs but nothing was done to fix the issue).Shower had good water pressure but overflowed due the the drain was blocked with body hair due to lack of cleaning.
Rooms are supposed to be sound proofed but you could hear music from the bars nearby (and this was low season) and garbage truck around 5am.
