Owner description: 'ISail Whitsundays was founded by Luke Mairs in 2007 with one simple goal: To provide one of the best sailing trips of the Whitsunday Islands. Since then the business has grown and now 2 boats showcase Luke's genuine passion for sailing and love of all things aquatic. Everyone at ISail Whitsundays prides themselves on personalised service aboard quality boats. Each tour sails, visits Whitehaven Beach including Hill Inlet Lookout and snorkels in at least 2 of the best fringing coral reef locations. Sailing with a small group offers many advantages. Boats taking less than 13 guests are allowed full access to the marine park, meaning ISail's boats can visit the best whitsunday locations whilst avoiding the crowds. There are 2 boats within the company: The 14.9m long yacht Blizzard and the 14.2m long catamaran On Ice. ISail Whitsundays offers day charters and overnight tours. All tours depart and return via Northern Abell Point Marina in Airlie Beach Queensland Australia.

“Great boat, great crew, great people!”
Reviewed 28 April 2012

I spent 2 nights on the Blizzard in mid-April and couldn't have asked for anything more. Brand new boat (went into service in November) meant everything was in perfect working order and nice and clean. The crew clearly put a lot into maintaining this as we were all asked to hand over our shoes when we came aboard. The crew Dave and Ellie were wonderful - Dave is an ex-racer therefore knows exactly how to get the most out of the boat. Ellie cooked up a storm in the kitchen and provided us with several wonderful meals during our stay. The group of people were wonderful - age range from early 20's to mid 30's however we were a fairly mature crowd (no big drinking!) and i think that the price you pay reflects that

We visited Whitehaven, snorkelled 3 times and went paddle boarding.

No improvement comments whatsoever - thanks so much for a wonderful trip!!!

“Sailing on Iceberg”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

Excellent 2 days and one night on Iceberg. The crew of John and Mink were great and ensured everyone felt safe in all activities and also had a good time whilst under heir care. Unlike many other boats doing he circuit Iceberg actually has sails and uses them to get around and its a wonderful feeling being carried along using only wind and not hearing the constant whine of a diesel engine. Food (at mealtimes) was plentiful, nourishing and tasty. Only issue was how easy it is to get sunburn. Take plenty of sunblock, a hat and cover up, or face the consequences.

“Great Overnight getaway”
Reviewed 16 April 2012

Great weekend away on board iceberg overnight sail tour.
Visited great spots, rod was really funny, and got a double bed upgrade for free as we were a couple and a mother and daughter accidentally booked a double bed.

Food was ok, but remember to bring your own alcohol a mistake we made. I did get hungry at times so some snacks would be good to bring as well.

Dynamic of the group was mixed but all were young and there were two couples on board.

Got to see a dugong as well which was a bonus.

“Fantastic cruise on Blizzard 1st-3rd April 2012”
Reviewed 13 April 2012

10/10 across the board! My girlfriend, parents and myself travelled on Blizzard for the 2 night cruise around the Whitsunday Islands. This company certainly live up to their first class reputation!

We were greeted by Tris (Skipper) and Mink (Deck hand) both of whom were incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We had booked the 2 private cabins with ensuite which were amazing. The boat overall was impecably clean, modern and comfortable with plenty of space for the 10 guests plus crew.

The weather was fantastic, we sailed on several occasions, snorkelled 3 times and swam with turtles. Stand-up paddle boarding was pure comedy! Whitehaven Beach and the Beautiful lookout were out of this world!

Tris and Mink (and the other guests) were great company throughout. Thanks to Tris for allowing me to take the helm for a bit on the way back! Special credit goes to Mink for all of the great meals he cooked.

I would absolutely recommend this cruise and hope to go again some time in the future!

Thanks Tris and Mink!

Best wishes,

Matt, Cherie, Rita and Jim

“A nice cruise despite the rain - Iceberg”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

My friend and I travelled on the Iceberg with 10 other people on the 26-27th of March 2012. We spent 2 days and 1 night which I found out later is a really good deal compare to the 3 days/2 nights deals. Indeed we left at 8.30 am on Monday and came back at 5 pm on Tuesday, we spent 2 full days in the Whitsundays.
The weather was really cloudy and some storms were forecast but when you're in the Whitsundays, you know you're going to be wet anyway! We were lucky to have a very good group of people from all over Europe. 12 people is very pleasant.
Matt and Rod were very friendly, maybe not in their best mood but we can understand you can't be at the top all the time. Nevertheless they were very nice, always ready to answer a question and made us feel comfortable on the boat. A special thank you to Rod who is an excellent cook and met our expectation about the food. Not only there was quantity but the quality amazed me: potato salad and roast chicken, gnocchi alla amatricciana, english muffins with Nutella!, cereals and delicious fresh wraps.
We didn't snorkel the first day because the visbility was bad. We visited Whitehaven Beach, the view from the platform is just amazing. Spotting stingrays and a huge eagle from there was just awesome. Then there were millions of little blue crabs that you can't see before you start walking towards them. Some of us wore a stingsuit and went for a swim, others just relaxed on the beach.
The second day we did 3 snorkeling sessions and we enjoyed all of them. First hundreds of fishes among the colourful coral, then swimming with the turtles (my favourite part!) and eventually meeting Evis ; )
To conclude it was a very pleasant cruise that I would recommend.
