We had a fantastic holiday at the aptly named Casa Buena Vista. The villa is set on top of a ridge with far reaching views to the sea and into the montains. The location is fairly remote, you are surrounded by almond and olive trees. If you are looking for peace and tranquillity, this is it!
Booking and communication with the owners were very easy. When we arrived we were met - despite a mix up with our arrival time - by the extremely helpful, local, English speaking housekeeper who showed us around. The villa is tastefully decorated and was spotlessly clean on arrival. You'll find everything you need for a relaxing self catering holiday from salt and pepper to cling film, soap and towels. The big fridge freezer allowed us to get enough food (and icecream) to last for a few days without the need for daily shopping trips. The salt water pool is fantastic, large and deep and no chlorine. There are lots of comfortable places to sit and relax both inside and out, the covered area by the pool was our favourite. While we found it difficult to pull ourselves away from the villa and the pool, it is worthwhile exploring the area. A car is absolutely essential. The driveway is very steep but manageable and once on top definitely worth it. The nearest beach and big supermarket are a 10 to 15 minute drive away. We especially liked Frigilliana, a mountain village in the vicinity and would recommend a day trip to Granada to visit the Alhambra (but book tickets ahead!).
