The centre has interesting displays and is worth visiting. There are restrooms and refreshments available. The grounds a neat but the natural look has been retained which is good.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent visit to Warradjan Cultural Centre.

To help visitors to Kakadu learn even more about the local culture we will soon be introducing a Night Tour on Yellow Water. Named "The Algohgarrng Experience", which mean Morning Star in the local Indigenous language, the tour will have Aboriginal guides talking about local Aboriginal stories of the night sky, which forms a significant part of the oldest living culture on Earth. Visitors will learn about the role of celestial bodies in significant life events, including burial rites, and how aborigines used the sky to forewarn them of the change in seasons and to predict tides.

Thank you once again for your valuable feedback.

Kind regards,

David Bowen

Thank you for taking the time to write a review regarding your recent visit to Warradjan Cultural Centre.

The centre is filled with information about our local Traditional Owners and some of the histroy of Kakadu National Park. It is also filled with artwork painted by our local Indigenous artists.

It really gives you an insight into Indigenous Culture. The centre is open every day of the year and has free entry.

Did you visit Yellow Water while you were in the area? The world famous Yellow Water cruise departs from the pontoon next to Warradjan Cultural Centre and offers a spectacular wet lands experience.

Thank you once again for your valuable feedback.

Having a few hours to spend on our last day, we stopped by the Centre to take a look. It's a good general introduction to the history, culture and beliefs of the local indigenous population. However, maintenance of the Centre seems a bit patchy as parts of the gallery was poorly lit during our visit, therefore making it hard to view and read some parts (unless there was a specific reason for this, though there was no explanation that we could see). If you are interested in knowing more about the local people, it's worth a visit, although hopefully the lights would have been fixed by then.

It is indeed a great introduction to a cuture that is over 40,000 year old.
