As part of our road trip through New Zealand we stayed one night at Collingwood Manor in Nelson. The Manor is lovely and the service was amazing. Unfortunately one of our party had taken ill. Jules and Ray were amazing, providing support and helping in any way that they could. Their help allowed my husband and I slip out to a local restaurant for an anniversary dinner. Beautiful home and beautiful people.

Room tip: Spend more time in Nelson...we only had one night and it was not enough

Warm welcome beautiful room, very clean. Nothing too much trouble. Lovely breakfast fresh cooked. Good to sit around the table with other guests to talk over various visits and places not to miss. Easy to find and parking off road.

Room tip: We stayed in morning sun and that was fine. Don't know about the others but the property is so lovely that I would think all would be okay.

A lovely Victorian family home has been converted into a comfortable B&B, ably run by Jules and Ray. It really feels like arriving in a family home when entering through the fabulous wide hall. Nice sunny bedroom with en-suite, a comfortable bed and small easychairs and table. There is a kettle and a fridge to keep your wine or soda.

It's easy to see that there is an artistic bend in the family. Over the years Jules and Ray have collected art, and paintings and fabulous pottery are displayed all throughout the house, including the guest lounge where the generous breakfast is served by Jules. Note: the coffee is very good and eggs come as you like them, with or without bacon.

Breakfast company on one of the mornings were a couple from France and another from the North Island. A look in the visitors' book showed guests from around the globe had been happy there, as had we.

The beautiful old villa is very centrally located and offers large ensuite rooms, lovely decorated with very comfortable beds. The hosts are very open, friendly and think about every detail (eg. Special dietary requests). They serve a very fresh and delicious breakfast! I can definitely recommend this place!

Ray and Jules were very charming hosts.. We stayed in a lovely old room which was beautifully appointed .Bathroom was a tad small but that comes with authentic old houses like this. No view to speak of but its central location was very handy. Breakfasts were excellent. my wife also managed to extract the Muesli recipe that Ray had . The best muesli I have tasted by the way!
