Booked a 2 days full board package with Agoda between 3-5 jan

We stayed in Deluxe room which overlooked swimming pool and offered good space and large bathtub for a couple and young kids.

Property is large , well maintained, which compensated for very limited /almost no organised activities in the resort. There is a kids play area, swimming pool (couldn’t use in winter) and large well managed green area for kids to run around

Loved the hospitality of always greeting and responsive Restraunt staff in all six meals we had and front office manager (Nishita, who upgraded us and offered insights on sightseeing)

This property is highly recommended

Absolutely incompetent staff. No greetings, not answering calls on time, not listening to customer queries...to wtite a few....
While we had booked the so called gala dinner for new year....we were not given a table for almost 30min and were told to wait. Well....we got the table after 30 min and were thrown at 1 end of banquet saying they dont hv any tables left
In front of us...4 tables were vacant and we were told till abt 12am that guests will come.....this after booking a table well in advance and also paying a hefty amount of Rs 27000.
Moreover....the staff said, rather threatened that i can complain to sr management and no one will listen....this is actually true.
We had a terrible experience during check out as well....no bell boy inspite of reminding almost 3 times.
MUST AVOID STAYING AT THIS HOTEL. I AM DEFINITELY NOT GOING BACK

Average and super noisy stay.
We were in the luxury rooms and still found the services wanting.

Pros
1. Excellent bar
2. Super friendly servers in bar and restaurant- shout out to Skand- he is par excellence
3. Tasty food- good spread
4. Good views from terrace
5. Great musicians on instruments
6. Spacious rooms
7. Staff insists on masks and reminds you to keep wearing them
8. Neat, clean, spacious, well equipped gym with proper sanitizing in place.
9. No medicenes of any kind, or any medical help available.

Cons
1. If you want to chill in peace, nope. Way too noisy even past 11 at night. Guests call and complain. They get a sorry. Noise goes on.
2. Balconies are sealed. You cant step out. And, the sealed balconies are never cleaned even from outside. Full of pigeon poop.
3. No noise insulation in the room. All the "celebratory" noises come in.
4. No welcome/ welcome drink/concierge. Not that I need it. But at the kind of property they say they are, and the prices, its definitely expected.
4. Poor in room experience. No one picks extensions for hours. Despite DNDs, housekeeping knocks repeatedly. Keys get deactivated if they are kept anywhere near your phone. So you are locked out multiple times.
5. Super super crowded breakfast area. For the number of rooms and guests, they should sure enhance the buffet area. Looks like an overcrowded wedding chaat stall at peak time.
6. Room darkening curtains absent. Room is bright throughout.
7. Terrible in room dining. Ordered chai- he gave a cup, plate and flask- typical 80s govt office style. No tray. No napkins. Forget cookies. Ordered boiled eggs. Gave in one bowl. Again, no plate. No fork, knife. No salt, pepper. No tissues. Ordered bananas. Gave me two bananas in a carry bag for heavens sake.
8. Even after room cleaning, floor was littered and dirty. My socks turned black in 5 mins flat.

Room tip: Pick a far away room. Dont expect too much during peak season at all...

This was my second stay at the property over the last 2 years and was terribly disappointed. The Property which looks great from the outside is in disarray specially with the bathroom fixtures in a tacky state and barely working across rooms .

This seems like a place that people book for weddings and events and so is also super noisy in the night.

Our checkin experience was equally bad - we had two rooms - and during checkin it took 30 mins to explain to them that the upgrade that they were offering was actually for the wrong room. Anyhow we had someone called Abhishek intervene - but the situation remained status quo. This was the first time I saw reception staff quarreling with each other while the guest was left to watch with no solution.

The in room dining options are limited and food is okay - all in all this was a super average experience.

At the rate this Propety is available, there are significant choices and 5 star properties available, hence would recommend people use that vs paying top dollar for an average Property.

It was an excellent trip. Highly memorable and enjoyable. Food was awesome and staff is very courteous. I would like to mention specifically about Skand who was highly enthusiastic and friendly. Nice person and surely an asset to the organisation. Kudos to the team. Keep it up. Cheers !!!
