Amazing food!! Definitely the best Indian in Whangarei!! Would rather drive in from ours than get any of the others (which are much closer). Their Saag chicken is the best

A find, but hard to find, down an alley posing as an arcade. Central Whangarei has been getting seedier as shopping has drifted away to the suburbs, and while tourist development has been focussed on its "Town Basin" and marina. Still, gems exist, and this is one of them. If you're stuck for lunch, want an Indian meal, this is my choice. The fixed price lunch offers - wisely - only 5 dishes, but each comes with a naan and a soft drink, all for $NZ12. There is plenty of food! The evening menu is available to customers at lunchtime, but it's hard to get past the lunchtime bargain.

In the evening, the full menu is available. While I have lunched there several times,my one dinner there was based on a Chicken Dopiaza as good as any I have tasted anywhere in the world.

This is a "fully licensed" restaurant, that is, it sells booze, although you may take your own. Service is friendly, quick, and attentive.

We enjoyed a great dining experience and felt thoroughly fussed over. All of our meals were greatly enjoyed so can recommend the beef and fish kormas and the butter chicken. Our variety of nams were very tasty too, and the service was very pleasant and prompt.
