Owner description: We are Northland's first three-day private unguided walk. Situated at Whangarei Heads our boutique walk encompasses private farmland, stunning ocean and harbour beaches, rural roads, recreational reserves and public walkways. Start each day from our immaculately presented lodge and walk through an amazing variety of landscapes. At the end of the day return for a delicious dinner prepared by us and cooked by you. This outstanding natural experience will leave you with lasting memories.

Fabulous host, accommodation was excellent, the food was beyond anything expected. Would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors, loves to walk/tramp and swim, being active and enjoying the friendly ambience with good friends at the end of a long busy day. Great to enjoy with family, friends in a group, whatever. Could not speak more highly of our lovely host, cook and tour guide, Claire.

Thank Cathie C

13 of us spent 3 nights at Bream Head Lodge last week and loved it!
The lodge itself is great, super clean with great bathroom facilities and the outdoor area was perfect for our big group.
A huge highlight of our stay was the amazing food and Claire and Marks hospitality! Every meal was beautiful and fantastic quality and there was so much. We brought nibbles with us which were certainly not required. Bring absolutely nothing apart from your drink!
We did the day 2 walk on day 1 as weather forecast was bad fir our 2nd day. The walk was certainly a challenge and our group was of varied fitness level but we all made it and were delighted to complete it.
Day 2 saw us walking in torrential rain and gale Force conditions. On a beautiful day the beach would be magnificent.
I highly recommend the lodge and its walks. So much fun.
Thanks Claire and Mark you were amazing hosts and were so helpful!

Claire took such good care of us..superb food and comfy accomodation...we appreciated the time and effort she put into making us feel at home and sharing info with us to help make our stay a winner. We opted to do most of the walks and felt justified at the end of each day to gobble and quaff happily.
A fabulous way to catch up with good girl friends.
