What a fabulous weekend staying at Bream Head Coast Walks Lodge and having such warm and wonderful hosts. The walks were stunning - Ocean beach was just beautiful - so pure with it's white sand - such a tranquil place. The food was delicious and healthy and the lodge was well equipped, clean and tidy.
Perfect.

Spent 3 days with a group of friends in this clean, well set up Lodge. Our hostess Claire was exceptional. Her food was beautiful. It was so exciting to get home every afternoon to see what was on the menu, what was in the frig and what had Claire baked for us. Such a treat. Claire's hiking plan for us worked out perfectly, including the weather. Day 2 walk was from Ocean Beach, to lighthouse, up higher and along Bream Head ridge definitely needs hiking boots and poles. Stunning. Don't forget your camera. Mt Manaia walk also highly recommended. You can see forever! We totally recommend you put this adventure high on your Bucket List'.

We had a great stay. The accommodation was excellent, and the service from Claire was even better. The food was awesome, the hiking was great and we will definitely be back.

Amazing array of choices for walking for all ability levels and all of them are spectacular. A huge range of scenery and the best accommodation we could have possibly hoped for. THis trip surpassed our expectations in every way. The food was fabulous and I have a huge range of food issues that Claire accommodated with no problems. She is an amazing cook and we will definitely be back. Highly highly recommended. Really close to Auckland and yet it feels deliciously remote.
