We are visiting Geelong on a nostalgic trip as we lived here 10 years ago. We decided to go to The Barking Dog on Pako St as had eaten there a few times previously.
My husband had the slow cooked beef cheek with truffle infused gnocchi and mushrooms. After one mouthful he said you have to try this, it was melt in the mouth and full of flavour. I ordered the scotch fillet, which I normally don't order when dining out as I can cook that at home but we'd been away for a few days and felt like a steak. It came with onion tarte-ti-tan and smoked potato puree, tomato salsa and green beans. It was absolutely delicious, the flavours were great. One of the loveliest meals we've ever had in a pub. Highly recommend
