Spent 3 nights with a friend level 3 river view. We requested firm pillows and got them - thanks. Beds were comfortable and the room was ample with TV, lounge, fridge plus small dining table and 2 chairs. However, the wardrobe was awkward to negotiate and the hanging rail was too high. The bathroom was ample with space under the sink for toilet bags etc and there as a large walk-in shower.

However, the aircon whilst efficient was very noisy - this was more pronounced at night- we would have turned it off at night if we could have opened a window, but they did not open.

The staff on reception were polite, but their customer service mien was a little stiff with a lack of eye contact.

We have stayed in many hotels around the world from 2star to 6 Star. And this only rates 2 stars in my book ... we had the premium suite the best in the Hotel, interior nice , bedroom ok views very good, bathroom small, but it’s the attention to detail and lack of fine cleaning ... and hard towels in bathroom ... for the price there is no breakfast provided. Take your own bags to your room in lift that very slow, we bought drinks in the mud bar below left the glasses and a wine cooler on the kitchen bench they stayed there for 4 days till we took them back,
Front desk staff were friendly and helpful ... but it needs a good shake up to command the prices they ask ..... I wonT be back there again ....

Our family of 5 had 2 x suites for 10 days. One with a king/double and the other with a king/double and fold out sofa bed. Not interconnecting but close to each other.

Rooms had separate kitchen/bathroom/lounge. Kitchen had a fridge/microwave/lots of storage space, and a washing machine and a dryer (both separate). Very handy.

Parking was $10 per day but bear in mind the parking gets full of an evening due to the restaurants attracting customers. That said, if full, the hotel is happy with you to park overnight in the drop off so no biggie.

Close to main road and easy walk to central Launceston or to the Penny Royal or to the Gorge/Basin areas.

Free gym access to a good gym about a 5 minute walk away. I used it every day.

Really recommend this place.

My wife and I have just spent five days(4 nights) at Peppers Seaport Hotel and have had a wonderful time.
Excellent little pad for us to use by day and by night. Close to some really good eating places and for walking to town, sight seeing venues and specially the Cataract Gorge.
Launceston is a fabulous city to visit and where better to stay but Peppers Seaport Hotel.

This hotel is very over priced, considering your only paying for a room, everything else is extra.
The room was looking warn out, the couch, washer and dryer and the outdoor furniture was starting to full apart.
And the smell of the air deodorizer really hit you when you walked out of the lift, and we had to turn the air conditioner off in our room, as the over powering was coming through the vents. We exoressed this twice to staff, but nothing was done. So we definitely wouldn't stay here in winter, as you couldn't put the heat function on.
Room service is very limited and you have to rely on the surrounding restaurants to order pick up.
For the price Peppers charge, its really disappointing....oh you get a part view of the river, and a concrete plant.
