We arrived expecting an average hotel room, or as per the description of our booking, a "modern" self contained bedroom apartment. Upon opening the door to our room, I saw a rather old room with yellow walls, yellow furniture and kitchen equipments that were yellowing from age. The bedroom had no air con, only a fan. The bathroom was so tiny, I could hardly fit in and yes, it was turning yellow as well. I paid $180 per night for this room and compared to other hotels/resorts, this place is just old and overpriced. Never coming back here again.

Stayed for a week, staff very helpful. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, and very clean. Thick curtains meant sleepins were possible. Great views of river and ocean from 8th floor, two balconies and two bathrooms. Had small table and chairs plus sunlounge. Lots of things to do within the resort and in local area. Adulots level on 9th floor great space with BBQs, tables and chairs and spas. 9th floor has great views over all of Port Macquarie. Within two blocks of main shopping streets and the river. Would stay again. Great fir families as there are so many activities for them - check website.

Room Tip: The higher you go the more you can see. Depends on number of bedrooms required. All rooms have some type of view.

We stayed in a studio apartment on the fourth floor overlooking roof tops, towards the water. Nice open views and private with the exception of someone in an adjoining property having what my wife thought was a camera/ binoculars looking towards us? I kept an eye out but only saw a person without any suspect activity. She may have simply been mistaken.

We called into this apartment on the way to Sydney from the Gold Coast. Was nice to break the trip up and have reception meet us around 7-8pm. Piece of mind with the secure parking, and after checking our bags (I always check the fire escape which was easily found and in good order) went out to dinner with the advice of a computer located in the lobby of all local businesses. Very helpful! Was a nice walk into town even if it was raining.

We stayed in a studio apartment which had large windows and a nice balcony (which was a bit we due to the pouring rain). Nice refreshing bathroom with large shower and drop down bench. Perfect to relax after a long drive!

The décor and furnishings were modern and well maintained.

After I hit the heated (covered) spa on the roof top the next day, which was incredibly cozy considering the inclement weather, we enjoyed breakfast at a local cafe (after again consulting with the computer in the lobby), great recomendation!

Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this resort for anyone wishing to visit Port Macquarie. A great way to break up the drive south. Easy to find and peace of mind.

Btw, got talking with the local Australian housekeepers as we were leaving. Were very friendly and proud of their work which was nice. They also allowed us a peak at the two bedroom they were currently making up and it too was beautiful and modern. Not to mention massive! Hope this review helps you make your decision.

This resort is very central and walking distance to shops, restaurants, cruise wharf, and town beach. Our car stayed in the secure underground carpark except for out of town trips. Our 1 bedroom x two bathroom unit was on the 5th floor with huge bedroom (could have fitted in a second queen bed). Lounge room was airconditioned and had a flat-screen TV. Kitchen was adequate but we didn't cook much anyway. The downside was that our unit was at the back of the resort overlooking the dumpsters and Target carpark with little early morning sun on the balcony,. Noisy trucks nearly every morning and some evenings noisy skateboarders at the nearby Target carpark. If staying here definitely ask for a unit at the front of the resort with a view. Internet for 7 nights is $25.

Room Tip: Ask for a unit with a view and a sunny balcony.

Close to town with very good amenities. Large comfortable rooms with every conceivable item required to spend a week on holiday. Highly recommended.
