Gerald makes some lovely wines, and to taste them either in the cellar door, or in the outdoor area as we did is lovely.

very relaxed feel, and about 11 members of our family enjoyed our visit, we stayed for about two hours.
Cindy was very knowledgeable and passionate about wines.

Thanks so much, we will get back..

My only wish was that you could see the vines from the cellar door. Perhaps a planting up the long approach to the house in years to come ??

Thanks again..

We were in Orange for the wine & food festival & Patina Winery was on our list to visit. It's located outside of town on Summer Hill Lane . The wine tasting room is actually apart of the house which is different to most we have experienced.

We loved tasting their Rieslings which were delicious & we took half a dozen home with us. The good thing with Patina Wines there is no tasting fee which makes it more appealing especially if you are tasting numerous wineries throughout the region. It can become expensive.

One of the friendliest host at a winery in Orange. The place was beautiful, the wines great and the host friendly and informative. There was no tasting charge as seems to be the practice in Orange so we were quite happy to taste and purchase their lovely wine.

After tasting in a number of wineries across Orange, this is a true delight. Beautiful gardens and stunning location greet the visitor, matched by warm welcome from the owner. Then an interesting, knowledgeable discussion about wines, bread-making, dogs ... a really lovely way to taste wines with friends. And the wines are all delicious. If you only go to a few wineries, make sure this one is on your list.

A beautiful day for a visit to a beautiful destination. The gardens are magnificent and the wines are delightful. The reception we received by the owner and staff at Patina was so warm and friendly. There are beautiful cheeses and homemade sourdough on offer. The staff took the time to explain all things about their wines and nothing was any trouble. I would highly recommend this place for a visit.

Located just outside of Orange and on lovely grounds is the most beautiful house of which is Patina winery.
Driving in is a little confusing as its not well labelled at the fact cellar door is located inside the home. However your are immediately welcomed by a wonderful host who is knowledgable and treats you as part of the family.
All in all its a brilliant location and winery that offers what my partner and I consider the BEST wine Orange has to offer. Making this a truly memorable visit!

Wow, what an incredible place to come and explore! We headed out with our two toddlers who loved the gardens and water features to play in, while we enjoyed a bottle of the reserve 2013 chardonnay...the homestead is amazing and well worth the visit to look around...felt like a retreat and we were on holidays!

Arrived on the weekend to try a few wines, quite surprised it took place in an amazing residential, spectacular one at that. Felt this place could almost become a luxury guesthouse, the garden was magical.

The staff member staying with us to provide the wines was very friendly and patient, though we didn't get much information on the individual wines themselves. It was pretty much a case of him just waiting for us to try the wine, with little side comments such as how popular the pinot noir was, or how much he like the chardonnay, etc.

It wasn't a pleasant surprise to be charged for the leftover cheese and crackers after initially telling us at the beginning to help ourselves "to some leftover cheese platter from the last tasting". Yes, they made that clear and you could tell (jars were open and eaten from, blocks of cheese was half gone). However at no point did they mention it would be discretely added to our wine bill.

As a group we had purchased a fair few wines so that was disappointing to be charged something so petty.

However if you've had a chance to try their wines, its worth a visit. Just don't eat the cheese.

With a short while to spare on Sunday we popped into Patina. Very impressed with the property, it's incredibly picturesque. Enjoyed the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir very much! Next time we will make sure we have more time to try everything.
