A must stay and dine! Accomodation while modern is modest! Food while simply prepared is flavourful and fabulous! Service is professional and efficient while not over bearing! A must experience when staying in Newcastle

We chose Carrington Place for its location & cost.
Visiting friends in Newcastle made us choose a central location, made it very close to the new development in the docklands, with a short drive back into town.
Quite a nice spot with a convenience store opposite for breakfast.
NOT ideal with children or teens, toilets & showers are shared by all rooms.
We were lucky that there were only a few tenants, in busy times it would be inconvenient waiting your turn.
The bar downstairs would be great fun late in the week, it looks to have a vibrant feel & would suit a young crowd, unfortunately not open for us on the Sunday.

Everything about our evening at Carrington Place was superb. The wine, food, service and ambience were just perfect. It was hard to imagine that we were eating in what had probably been the back bar of a working man's pub, the furnishings reflected a quiet elegance and, although it sounds like a small detail, the carpeted floor made ,conversation much, much easier than the tiled and glass rooms all too common in modern restaurants. It's not cheap but well worth the investment for that special occasion or for when you just need something special. We will be going back soon.

Room Tip: Try the scallops and the special cheese, they were just delightful

The beef cheek was to die for! The 2 of us shared entree, than had a main each, steak-cooked to perfection and the delicious beef cheek, then shared dessert. For fine dining this was very reasonably priced! And the service was incredible. Thank you!!

An interesting refurbished workers pub - now turned into a guest house function centre. My room was clean, quiet and spacious with an ensuite. The building was shut up on Sunday and Monday nights - so no food or drinks available. The little village that the hotel is within was very quiet as well on a Monday night. Fortunately there was a great cafe across the road for breakfast.
I suspect the room might be a bit nosier when the pub is open and there are functions/food available - so that is a plus and a minus. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: get one away format he function end of the hotel.

Glad you enjoyed your stay David. As we are a restaurant /bar most nights we are closed between 10-11pm so the noise is minimal.

We look forward to having you stay with us again.
