Fountain Court Motor Inn

Reviewed 12 September 2017

We have stayed at Fountain Court a number of times in the past and again this year on our way back home from Sydney we decided to stay there again. What we like about it is :
1. It is very accessible from the highway, but in a quiet side street.
2. The rooms are large.
3. The shower is great.
4. The bed comfortable.
5. The room cozy on a cold winter's night.
6. Well below the cost of any comparable motel we have stayed in.
7. Just across the road from the Services Club (cheap meals).
8. Owner very friendly and helpful.
We will continue to stay here on our annual trips North for the Winter.

Room Tip: Easier parking in the units to the left and towards the rear.

Location was good. The owner was nice and advised us he had turned the heating on for us. When we arrived to our room it was still freezing and the heater was very loud as was very old. To get to the controls on the heater you had to stand on a chair as it was up above the door. The room remained cold all night even with the heating on high all night which was extremely noisy. The bathroom was not very nice and was freezing. The shower had good pressure but was very grotty with lots of mould. The rooms need a total overhaul and update. Carpets were stained and the coffee and tea etc was covered by a stained tea towel. 2 star at best and would not recommend.

Motel had bare, unpainted, dark brick walls which made it look dingy inside. The air- con was not working properly, even after we were allocated another room.We were given this room as the old air-con in the first room had no cover, wiring exposed, and didn't work. Only 1 extra blanket was supplied for 2 beds. One spoon only , no knives, in coffee cabinet. Moldy shower. Beds were reasonable.

Absolutely lovely, close walking distance to a variety of eateries and other shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. We were concerned about the hotel next door but absolutely no noise and a great nights sleep.

Room Tip: Every room is at ground level which was great for me as I use a walking stick

Good location and a cheap price for a clean room summarises this motel. It has seen better days and would certainly benefit from a refurbishment but sometimes your looking for just a place to sleep and move on. The room was nice a clean and heated by an old box style air conditioner. The room was a moderate size with not a lot of furniture in it. Dining and shopping is nearby. The pool area is a bit forlorn perched to the side of a large concrete driveway. Did appreciate extra bedding and pillows.
