We had a lovely two night stay at Briardale this weekend. My wife, baby son and I stayed in the deluxe Heathwood suite, complete with large spa bath. The operators built the residence less than 20 years ago, but they have decorated and fitted out so well that it looks like a genuine Federation/1920s era residence. The building and gardens are very beautiful, and the breakfast served by the operators is generous and first class. Highly recommend this venue.

We stayed one night at Briardale and already planning our next visit ! What a beautiful home, decorated with style and with the most incredible collection of antiques! Rob and Robyn were great hosts , and we enjoyed the chats with rob in the parlor , while enjoying an afternoon refreshment :-)
Breakfast was delicious and consisted of cereals, yoghurt and fruit followed by a full cooked breakfast!
We stayed in the blue room. The bed was very comfortable, and like the rest of the house our room was decorated beautifully. Located close to restaurants etc, but away from traffic noises , we would definitely recommend Briardale to anyone visiting albury.
Thanks for your hospitality Rob and Robyn :-))
Regards Liz and Steve Davies

I am not one to stay at B&B's but in Albury the choice of hotels or motels are limited and tend to be the type catering to travelling salesmen! So friends of ours who live in Albury recommended Brairdale to us so we booked. That was simple just a phone call to the owners giving dates, no need to give credit card details said Rob, the owner, just drop in when you arrive. A 7 hours drive from Sydney and we were there, easy to find with Nav and then a welcome beverage was offered. The accommodation has it's own entrance so you don't feel like you are living in someone else's house. The bedroom had a lovely ensuite and great view over the garden and was a generous size. Most important the bed was comfortable and the street quiet so a great nights sleep after a long road trip. The bed was made up each day and the soap change for a new one each day, better than a hotel. Breakfast, made to order, was more than we could ask for and Rob and Robyn were always there when we needed them but not at all intrusive. I enjoyed that you could sit in the downstairs lounge area and read or have a drink and just relax without having to been in your room the whole time. The garden was mature with plenty of shade so sitting outside also a joy. Well done Rob and Robyn, might try more B&B's after this experience. Oh and yes free good speed WiFi in room, very important these days.

Room Tip: Loved the "Blue Room" could open window with fly screen and let fresh air in.

We had a lovely stay in a surprising home in the midst of a residential area of Albury. Our host was most accommodating in providing answers to our inquiries, a fine breakfast, and an introduction to his love of birds in his beautiful garden. We enjoyed the stay very much.

I had the chance to stay in a hotel in Albury that would have probably been more convenient as I didn't have a car but don't regret staying here instead. The walk to the pub for dinner took about 20-30 minutes but was easy. Rob is an interesting guy. If you have any sort of interest in cars/bikes get him to show you his classic car/bikes. A significant segment of the house was added by him a few tears back but totally in keeping with the characterful original. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Breakfast was very good. The garden must be a labour of love and is beautiful. Do check it out ahead of any of the hotels.
